I had a hand spun milkshake which was very tasty, it wasn't as thick as I would have liked, but the taste definitely made up for it. I also had Cajun fries which were absolutely delicious and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My main was the chicken sandwich, it was definitely good tasting, however a bit on the dry side. When eating it I definitely thought something was missing, which was the risk I took when getting the normal version. I would recommend getting the deluxe edition with that salad and sauce on it, this makes it much more complete.
Having been to the branch in The Metro Centre, I was excited for the Rotherham branch to open.

We opted for Spicy Chicken Tenders with Cajun Fries and a diet Dr Pepper.
It was very busy, nevertheless our food arrived in around 10 minutes from order.
The Tenders and fries were crispy and crunchy right to the end. The chicken was excellent quality breast meat.
Very tasty food and easily wipes the floor with KFC, so definitely worth paying that fraction more for.
My only gripe, which I'll put down to teething with it only just opening was attention to detail with the order. When it arrived at the table, our dips were missing, there were no straws or napkins for our drinks. It was awkward using the cup style lids on the drinks.
Great venue, easy to park. Will definitely return regularly.

First ever visit yesterday so didnāt know what to expect. Was massively impressed with the experience, as there were plenty of different ways to order, food was excellent, and the overall vibe was pleasant.
Ordering - you have 3 options to order at Popeyeās. 1) Go to the counter as usual. 2) Use the self-service point. 3) Order at table by scanning the QR code and ordering online. We did the latter, and it was a quick and simple process. You can even choose whether to collect from counter or have your food brought to you - great for those with access needs or busy wrangling kids!
The food itself is absolutely delicious! Forget the other big-name chicken place, Popeyeās has them beat hands down. The coating is like a light panko, rather than a greasy batter. This means itās crispy, tasty, and less messy. The flavour itself is more like you remember Southern Fried tasting, but canāt seem to find anywhere now (except Popeyeās!)
The mash and gravy is perfectly portioned and totally mouth-watering! Comes in a sustainable card pot with sustainable wooden spoon, it might look small at first but thereās plenty. Would definitely recommend the chicken tenders, as you get plenty of chicken - we even had enough to make evening sandwiches later.
The only improvement I can suggest at the Rotherham branch is to install some sound-dampening panels, as the high pyramid ceiling creates an echo chamber, making it difficult for neurodivergent people.

I recently visited Popeyes and had the pleasure of trying their Spicy Deluxe Burger. Let me tell you, it was a mouthwatering experience!

Absolutely blown away with food, service, cleanliness and staff. The food far exceeded our expectations and we have to give a special mention to Zainab who had a smile on her face the full 50 minutes or so we were there, and she never stopped lol. A credit to the company.
A little bit pricier than other fast food places, but definitely worth the extra couple of Ā£'s .

Way better if you compare it to a Kentucky competitor. Very nice clean restaurant and fast service. Chicken has been fresh. Fried perfect- so crispy and tasty. I'm back defo to this place.
Has the deluxe spicy chicken sandwich meal, tasted lovely, chicken was lovely and crispy, thoroughly enjoyed. The fries were lovely too, but you dint get many in a standard meal.
We went through the drive thu because the queue was out the door. The service was great, the server at the window was super friendly when we collected our food. Half way home we noticed that the fries from one of the meals was missing so we went back. They quickly rectified the issue and compensated us with 2 fresh cartons of Cajun fries šš¼ The food was amazing! We had the delux chicken sandwich meals and they are hands down the best chicken burgers weāve ever had! Highly recommendedā¦ We will be returning very soon! š
Went for first time yesterday it was amazing a million miles better than KFC food was so nice hot which makes a change and chips were nice to service is very quick actually went back the day after as well it was that good
