We went last night. We had pre booked our table but arrived early hoping to have a pre meal drink in the snug. As this area was pretty full we were shown to our table and informed that we could have a drink there. We ordered drinks then the young waiter returned after 10 minutes to take our order. I had never tried Camembert cheese before so thought why not!! It come accompanied with some chutney, salad garnish, a mix of wafer thin crackers and a piece of baguette, it was amazing my wife chose the chicken & mushroom spring rolls which were also a delight. For Main course I chose Yorkshire steak and ale pie with chips peas and gravy which was unbelievable, my wife went for pan fried salmon with dauphinois potatoes and roasted vegetables which was also delicious. We decided to go the whole hog and plumped for deserts too. My wife had a trio of chocolate whilst I went for the coconut cheesecake mmmmmm I had 2 pints of Leodis lager while my partner had a gin and tonic followed by 2 glasses of white wine. I will honestly say that this was one of the best meals that we have been out for in the last few years. A nice relaxed atmosphere not over crowded lovely waiter/waitress service and great value for money. I also down loaded the app where you can collect stamps in return for a free main course. Without a doubt we will be returning. Many thanks Andy & Mandy.

Managed to get a table on a Saturday night, restaurant was full but couldn't fault service at all. The 4 of us ordered quite a few bits from the starter menu and shared it, sharing desserts as well. All the food were off good portion size and delicious. Thanks for a great evening 🙂

Tried this place based off a friend's recommendation. I'm glad I did as the food was amazing. I did have a slight issue as mine and another's lamb starter was totally raw in the middle but that got sorted and they did offer to do all starters again so we ate at the same time, I didn't go for that but I'm glad it was offered. A big issue was one waitress grabbed glasses from the top when serving you them which is a big negative especially in today's times.. Besides that the food was great, so fresh and good quality ingredients. Really home made and we'll carried out. Nice beer. Would try again just hope they can redeem the 5th star!

Delicious food. Really good for gluten free. Service excellent. I have no idea why they weren't rushed off their feet on a Saturday night. Have the tapas!

We originally went in for some lunch one afternoon whilst scouting for a decent wedding venue. Once we started our meals we knew we had found the one we wanted! The manageress worked with us every step of the way and helped keep things within our budget beautifully. The staff were warm and welcoming every time we visited, leading up to the big day. They managed 40 guests comfortably, however it’s safe to say they would not have managed more. Due to this we didn’t feel cramped and the food was served swiftly, considering it’s arrival is via a dumbwaiter (lift), the Chef/kitchen team excelled in creating the perfect selection of dishes for us given the fact we had several dietary needs for certain people. The selection of drinks was adequate and premium quality. We arrived to a Prosecco reception and the tables were dressed tastefully and at no cost to us. They accommodated every request with ease and I can safely say that we shall frequent them. I wouldn’t say much in the way of negatives other than the portions were great for most but one dish was so good everyone that had it wished there was just a little more of it, as they felt it was just not enough to fully enjoy. - that has to be a pretty good back handed complement as it were? Try the Gnocchi! It is rare I ever give 5 stars but they most definitely deserve these. Well done ladies and gentlemen. We shall return.

The first time we've ordered from here and we were not disappointed, the quality of the food was spot on also generous portion sizes but more importantly a great tasting Sunday dinner at a reasonable price, would highly recommend, looking forward to visiting properly the restaurant in the future 😋

A fantastic restaurant with a small but varied menu. The Early Bird was surprisingly good, offering two courses for only £15. The seafood paella was great and the sticky toffee pudding was sensational - not to be missed! In addition, they had a good drinks menu and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. My dining guests were equally impressed and we will definitely return again.

My friends and I recently organised a baby shower afternoon tea at Dill & Bay. We had a really lovely afternoon, the staff were incredibly accommodating, especially when we had more guests than we had anticipated, and we had last minute updates to dietary requirements that we hadn't been aware of when making the booking. Everyone said how great the food was, it was very fresh, there was lots of choice, and there was so much that we ended up taking some of it home. The afternoon tea itself was £15.95 per person (including tea and coffee) which I thought was excellent value. It was lovely to have the use of the private dining space which comfortably fitted our group and has a nice entrance hall which was a great space for photos with the Mum to be. The weather wasn't on our side so we couldn't make use of the herb garden, however the option to spill out into it was there if we had wanted to. Thanks to all the staff for looking after us and for making the baby shower so memorable, I would highly recommend Dill & Bay to anyone else wanting to celebrate a special occasion or just for a bite to eat :-)

Went June 2023 and this place has really upped its game with a new chef. The menu is short and simple but each dish has a little twist and is perfectly prepared. My wife had the aubergine starter and the sea bass. I had the Caesar salad starter and the chicken schnitzel. All were fabulous.

Couldn't fault the service. Nicely decorated but it was like sitting in someone's front room. Reasonable priced two course menu £19.95. Disappointed with the Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Pavlova for dessert was outstanding - this earned a star.

For my daughters 30th Birthday we booked the whole of the restaurant as there were 28 of us. What can I say!! The food was outstanding, delicious, filling and excellently presented. The young ladies serving were attentive and friendly especially considering the size of our party. I would highly recommend The Dill and Bay to anyone who wants top quality food in lovely surroundings. As a couple, a group of friends or like us on this occasion as a family celebration. ,Simon, the restauranteur ensures good quality, well sourced ingredients are used

Found it difficult to book a table on Togo. The restaurant was absolutely splendid. Welcoming staff and very well laid out. Quite an extensive menu. We were there for tapas which is a separate menu. We ordered prawns, calamari, lamb skewers, roasted peppers and the bread board. We weren't disappointed with anything. They all came with a small salad. Everything was fresh and cooked to order. We also had a splendid bottle of wine at a very reasonable price. My wife had told the staff we were there to celebrate my birthday. I was given a lovely surprise when a chocolate brownie dessert arrived with a candle. A great end to our evening. Thanks again to the staff at the Dill and Bay. We will certainly be visiting again.

First visit for a Sunday lunch, the food was fantastic, everything cooked to perfection with some added flavours. Will definitely call again. The service was spot on with very friendly staff. Only downside is that it is more like a café surroundings than a restaurant.

This was our second Sunday lunch visit within a month. Both meals for our large party have been excellent. Yesterday's Sunday lunch platter is highly recommended
