I decided to order something different so I had the Rogan / Pathia combo. Both were absolutely amazing, and I've eaten many good meals.
Nargis kebab starter, also wonderful.
But the staff.... Oh what a fine bunch. It was my friend's birthday and I'd brought candles. I didn't know if we would be having dessert so the staff kindly placed them with her starter. Even the chef came out to sing happy birthday and said it was the first time he's put candles on a starter.

All staff and food was amazing! Would highly recommend. I had a chief speciality of mint lamb bhuna, which was delicious , the meat just melts in your mouth. Can't wait for our next visit.

Our first time here, after reading good and bad reviews (as you always do) we decided to pay it a visit and make our own mind up.must say what a lovely friendly place, and the food was really good too, we will definitely be returning in the near future. Happy customer 😊

I've dabbled with other recommended places, but end up being disappointed.
Always consistently great food and friendly, never had a bad experience.

Used this place quite a lot either for take aways or eating in. Food always good there.
Have noticed they have just put prices up, not sure when they last increased, but % wise some have increased quite a lot, while others are the same. Maybe this is the effect of Covid, but when money is tight ...........and many of us will either be without jobs or pay increases.

On my home from work I popped into raj spice for a takeaway. The service was excellent, the menu was excellent. The amount of food they gave us and the taste of the food was fantastic. Definitely go back there, I'll make it my no1 , I'll give them 10 stars.

One of the best Indian meals I have had in a long time! The service was great and the owners son was very charismatic and welcoming to the restaurant. We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area!

Visited Saturday night with my vegan sister, she ordered a vegetable madras and asked the waiter if they use any animal products as she is vegan, the waiter assured her the curry was vegan friendly. When the curry arrived it had chicken in it. Needless to say we were both horrified the night was spoiled. Just because your busy dosnt mean standards should drop, I am sure if the staff were presented with food that goes against their religion they would not be happy. Sorry raj spice but I won't be visiting again.

Sorry to say this but this place is to expensive for what you get .if u can get what you asked for. I asked for a lamb Rogan josh only to be asked about 10 minutes after to have chicken because lamb would take to long to cook disgusting. One of the party only ate about a 3rd of there meal .my Rogan josh would have fitted on a saucer and the naan bread in Sainsbury's are bigger. Back to blue spice in halesowen next week.

Wow! Despite being extremely busy last night it did not have an impact on the service we were given. The food was amazing, the quality and taste is second to none!
My husband and I live overseas and always stop off at the raj when we are back home. Thank you for an amazing evening, we weren't disappointed! Would definitely recommend.

To be honest the last 2 times I've been there it aint the.best tandoori lamb chops 4.5o n one was just bone n the other a little meat but wouldn't order again that's for sure n raj special balti but wasn't that special im disappointed as use to love the raj

Currently just about the best curry house in Blackheath by my reckoning. Excellent food and service, and really good sized portions to boot. At first glance the menu may look a little more expensive than usual for the area; however, look at the section for "traditional favourites" (or similar - I forget the exact phrase)-you'll find madras, korma, vindaloo etc all for under £6, or you can opt to pay a lot more for more left - field dishes. My usual order of lamb madras, chips and keema naan comes in at about a tenner and it's been unfailingly excellent so far.
