Really great place. Have just moved to the area & this has become our local. Have eaten there too before we moved & it is very nice food. Friendly staff. Brilliantly quirky decor & a cracking garden with an outside bar. All in all highly recommend it 👍🏻👍🏻

Had a great buffet at St Johns Yard tonight in their Vintage Room. They were incredibly helpful with the food for our party, some of whom were gluten/dairy free. We had a lovely time, keep up the great work!!

We enjoyed our stop here during our travel to the south of England. A relaxing light meal in the garden. Lost of space available, both inside as outside. A good choice bar meals. The place is dog friendly, and our dog likes the treats. No parking is available, but there is a large parking lot at 100m distance. A place we will return to when we are nearby again!

A nice pub with a modern angle just on the edge of Tunbridge Wells. Some of the best burgers in town and delicious sides. Great drinks selection and friendly staff. There's also a section you can book out for private functions, which is very nice for a casual family or work party. Pictured is the Ghengis Salad which was delicious and a great option if you want something lighter. One of the only downsides is there isn't a huge amount of seating inside, and not all of the outdoor seats have heating so it's not ideal in the winter.

We love this place. The food is great, especially their burgers! And, they're half price on Sundays. The outdoor area is our favourite with an industrial feel and rustic seating surrounded by hanging flower troughs fixed to scaffolding frames.

Lovely! Great beer garden, with really friendly staff. Burgers were tasty and reasonably priced for big portions, only issue is that they weren’t pink and juicy as stated on the menu, so a little disappointing in that respect. But the duck burger and the spicy one were both tasty, nice skinny fries too. Fab sun trap!

Very nice pub and the food is fantastic. We just probably picked a bad day as there was workmen in there crashing and banging about which took the edge off it. Will definitely be back.

Leo from the Smith and Western recommended this fab spot as a great burger bar.. He was not wrong! The burgers were spot on.. I had the special which had this lush beer cheese sauce and amazing pepperoni and the other half had a burger called Vintage Sally which she wouldn't share so I assume was good.. the fries were also amazing and well cooked. The meal was well presented with a supply of mayo and ketchup which I didn't need to ask for which was nice surprise. The restaurant/bar is well presented! I think if you want to get a table around 7pm booking seems to be very important. We would never of found this place if it wasn't for Leo so you probably owe him a drink!

I love this place. I've been coming here for years. - Service is always great and i think I'm right on saying they still do the app table service - Outside area is really well designed and has well placed heaters and lighting, a nice change. - Prices are what they are, Tunbridge Wells prices - Wide demographic. There will always be someone your age there. Often what I look for when I first walk into a place. - Food is very good. We even order it for home and pick up. - Very good for parties. I has my 40th here and it was really well managed. An unhesitating 5/5 stars

I found the Love of my life in these dark, gloomy walls. Got wasted for countless times because what else could I do? Their delicious burgers, that dead-raising vodka, their whimsical lager selection that everyone wants to take and chug until early morning. Sam, the bartender, whose eyes tell unimaginable stories. And delicious peanuts. I went to the wall with some inscription and tried to decipher it all, but only between the lines it was scraped - getting here was your destiny. My Lover kindly picked me up, brought us home, and I had no doubt that this writing was true. You can come for yourself and see it. Oh, and maybe you'll attend a concert or meet some nice people. That's for sure in St John's Yard. P.S. THE TOILETS ARE VERY DECENT.

Recently had our joint 25th Wedding Anniversary / Daughter's 21st here and everything was great. The Manager was really helpful and couldn't do enough for us, never once getting bored of our silly questions, and the whole experience from email enquiries to booking to helping us set up the room to the food was amazing. Thank you very much!

I've been recommended this place a few times now, and managed to get a chance to go here as I met up with some friends local to the area. Indoor and outdoor seating available, due to the weather we picked the garden. The garden is deceptively large, and caters largely to groups. The decor is lovely with lots of flowers and lights and gives it a really good vibe. Atmosphere was really good even for a weekday. Service was really quick too, some of the drinks arrived before the order confirmation even came through. I had the Vintage Sally burger which comes with bacon and chilli jam, and a serving of really nice chips. Also had a spicy chicken starter between us. The spicy chicken starter catches you off guard as it's fairly hot to start with, but once you're used to it you'll keep going back for another. The chips were just how I like them, crisp on the outside with a hint of salt, and fluffy on the inside. The burger was juicy and full of flavour as the chilli jam soaked into the bun. Definitely recommend having that one.
