Visited here today. The reasons for 4 star review but everything else being 5 is that they advertise both English and Chinese food but only have an English menu. Staff are lovely and friendly.
Pie, chips sausage and curry sauce are absolutely amazing. You won’t find a chippy better than this in Bass
The staff were so lovely and the price was really good. The battered sausage was amazing, one of the best we’ve tried and the chips were great. Definitely recommend this place so lovely!!!

Came to see family for the weekend and popped into China chef for some fish and chips. The fish was lovely and white which melted in your mouth, the chips were nice and fresh with no eyes. Had a delicious meal from here tonight, ordered the battered mushrooms as they are made fresh and battered on site and they did not disappoint! Will be visiting again.
