Having to work away from home is always a pain but this is the second time iv stayed here it’s always been clean today, the staff are always very friendly the food is second to none and even after a week of it I wasn’t sick of the same stuff as there was a good variety of choices the breakfast options are good too hopefully I’ll get to stay here against some point
Had a great stay here recently, June 2023. Great food, beer, ales and wine. Staff were friendly and attentive. Service was good too. The lunch time menu was very reasonable but the rest of the menu was very expensive. The food we had was very good.
Nice clean rooms with good quality shower.

Visited this pub as it has rooms just next door ! Which in itself is very good !
Not too busy, seemed a little short staffed but we were well looked after.
Out of two visits, we had very good food with only one terrible plate of potatoes(side), which they immediately took away and refunded; I think it was just an oversight. Everything else beautifully presented and tasty !
We would eat here again, definitely !!
The menu has changed, and the food is so much better than before. I recommend the Churchill for a lovely meal, and on the plus side, their gluten-free menu has gotten better with a wider choice.
The food is average pub grub, however staff were super friendly and attentive. I did enjoy the wine, excellent glassware which in my opinion improves the drinking experience. Our daughter really enjoyed playing in the whacky warehouse and I love how you can eat inside the play area. I had no problems paying for the playtime it kept her entertained and allowed us to relax.
Wonderful place for a drink or a meal. Amazing staff, wonderful atmosphere 👏. Food can at busy times be slowish out of the kitchen but worth it. Plenty of parking too. Lovely pub 👌🥰
Service on a Sunday with some big bookings was a little slow, but it is fair as they are naturally busy. My only comment would be that if they knew later bookings were coming in they could have put more staff on.
Other than that, it was great visit and the staff were really welcoming. We are looking forward to going again.
We had a overnight stay here so had lunch and then evening meal, the pub is well presented and clean, the food was good and would not complain about anything, the only problem was the lack of staff which obviously is not the fault of anyone who was serving us, it’s got so much potential but they were turning people away saying they were fully booked when it was plain to see so many empty tables, this caused the staff to have to deal with some irate people being turned away (especially when they could see the place was half empty)
Our experience was good but felt the staff were put in a awkward situation.
The hotel on the side of the pub was excellent, clean , fresh and well decked out rooms with no signs of tired or ageing decor anywhere.
Popped in for Sunday lunch. This one is not a carvery so full menu to choose from as well as the Sunday lunch menu. I had hunters chicken which was very nice. My wife had the turkey . She said the meat was very tasty but for her the veg was not cooked to her liking. It's reasonably priced and staff lovely. Worth a visit for basic pub grub.
