I hadn't been over to Bury Lane Farm Shop for several years! It has grown and is a delightful place to find unusual gifts etc. The cafe is lovely- friendly and attentive staff. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Definitely won't be leaving it so long until I return!!
Great place for a mooch around ~ Good selection of gifts ~ Yummy range of foodie items ~ Lovely place to eat ~ Well worth a visit! ✅👍
A lovely shop, full of great food and gifts. Earlier today I ended up in the car park, with a flat battery after leaving my lights on but the very kind staff helped me out and I was driving home in no time. So grateful to them.
An excellent range of both fresh & dry food goods, a great restaurant, gift shop & really friendly staff. What more could you want. I just wish I lived nearer.
This was my first Sunday Roast and being Mum's day on top of that, it was still a great meal, service and atmosphere. This place has something for everyone, young and old!
A lovely place to visit, nice hot food served by friendly staff, just a shame our coach was held up on the A1M and we did not have enough time to really look around, we will be back before Christmas
I love all the different little gifts you can buy, for young and old. I buy my veg from here and it's lovely. The cafe is air conditioned and the food is reasonably priced. The deli counter and the cheeses are amazing.
Bury lane about a 5 minute drive from royston is a convenient and unique place. You can buy flowers, take your children to the fun barn or go to the cafe.
I usually visit here when I need to buy gifts as they offer gin, wine, jams, soap and many other options in the gift hall. A lot of their options are also made by bury lane farm or locally curated. With my most recent visit I went to go buy jams as a Christmas gift, their use by dates are long lasting until 2024-25 and only cost £6 for 2 jams. There is plenty of free convenient parking directly outside.
Lovely farm shop and cafe. We had a meal
In the cafe on a very warm school holiday Sunday. It was quite late in the afternoon and the staff were still ever so friendly and bright despite it being obvious how tired they must have been from how busy it was. Our waitress was so sweet when my 3 year old nephew wanted to order his meal himself.
The food was really good and we bought some treats in the farm shop. Whilst my folks were settled with my nephew in the fun barn I popped over to the pick your own peony field and enjoyed a peaceful half hour selecting some gorgeous flowers!
We absolutely (+ kids age 4-10) loved our visit here, all the staff members were very helpful, the kids enjoyed the play areas, the sand and the jump.
Our highlight of the day was the “pick your own flowers” the restaurant was nice, and food fresh. The soft play was clean , and nice. Was not too busy when when we visited.
I will recommend this …
Good farm shop, located on the a10 road. The shop has a great selection of products both gifts and food Aswell as a garden range. Gifts are a little pricey but there is a good selection. Will be returning soon
Good farm shop selling lots for the home and garden. Always pick up some chutneys or other condiments. Christmas shop already open. Halloween displays look good with the pumpkin field alongside the dahlias.
Bury Lane Farm Shop and more:
A high quality farm shop with a butchery, bakery, fruit and vegetables. Gift shop, small garden centre and a separate Fun Play Area for children up to 10 years old. There is a large eating area that has an excellent menu and good quality foods from small snacks to full meals. It's a good place to go on a rainy day. Pricing for meals is reasonable and of course other area pricing is top end for their quality goods. Go along and make up your own mind. You will find plenty of photos to give you an idea of this venue.
I visited on a Sunday afternoon and i swear it's not a waste of time. It's a beautiful Tulip 🌷 Garden. I have never seen so many colors(White, Red, Orange, Purple, Yellow..... ) of Tulip Flowers. It's a free entry and you no need any prior appointment or booking. You can pick your own Tulip Flower and they will charge based on that. Example: For 10 Stem they will charge 6 pounds.
Along with the Garden, they do have Big Shopping Centers, Kids Play Area and Cafe. In the shopping center they have a wide collection of Perfume, Bags, Groceries, Vegetables and Fruits, Cutleries, Chocolates, Candles..... If you are driving they have a big parking place. So you can park safely without any hassle.
Initially we only went to pick your pionies. We ventured into the shop. Wide range of goods from fresh organic food to kitchen ware. We thought reasonably priced and good quality. Staff really helpful and courteous.
Love it. Amazing.
Good items. Good location.
Restaurant is a must. The food is incredible.
Visit. You will love it.
Never been before, but just up the road amazing place selling everything. Xmas stock available loved it
Got some amazing plants in the greenhouse open just for this weekend. Thankyou to the staff for all their help. One staff member even found me a better plant than the one in my hand which was great 👍
Went for the houseplant extravaganza!!! So delighted have managed to buy all of the plants for my new home and affordable too. Friendly helpful staff and mothing is top much trouble
Little gem of a find. The food in the cafe is lovely and all very clean. The staff are lovely in all departments. Love the fresh fruit and veg, only comment would be can there be weighing scales so I can judge how much loose fruit and veg I'm buying. Butchers meat is wonderful and good value too.
Just a wonderful shop with many things to buy. I will definitely come back ❤️
Lovely experience for kids. We could hand pick strawberries for £7 / box. You get double the quantity in the shop. You pay premium for hand picking.
Just had coffee and cake. Marvelous . I am a bit of a coffee snob, but the coffee was excellent. The cake was delicious, couldn't fault it (chocolate and orange). Most importantly, it was a "proper" slice, not some nasty little morsel that many of the chain coffee shops serve. Would definitely go back. I would recommend going off-peak, as it gets very busy at weekends, no doubt because it is a nice place.
The best farm shop I've ever visited. Such fresh produce and so much choice. The bread is exceptionally good. If I had more time I'd probably have bought half the shop!
The play area also looks nice although we didn't have chance to visit today. We will certainly be back though.
Wonderful restaurant/cafe with great food and drinks
The shop has a delicious and eclectic variety of many foods and drinks. Butchery and delicatessen counters inspire many flavoursome meals.
