This place is a real innovation for the Isle of Wight. Ryde should be very proud of this fantastic eating place. Caribbean food has had a great influence on our diet, but it is rare to have a restaurant which specialises in its authentic cuisine.
I very much enjoyed by goat curry and the old favourite of Rice & Peas! (not be confused with the 'normal' frozen ones!)
Carnivores and herbivores are both catered for in a sort-of rustic setting, tables made from bits of old wood etc. Ska and reggae music playing in the background. Pleasant staff. Loved it - will go again.
Amazing food, perfectly chilled atmosphere, great friendly staff. If you ever find yourself in Ryde I can't recommend going there enough! We went three times in as many days, we were hooked after the first!
Celebrated my dads 60th, couldn't rate it higher. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and brilliant food. Would totally recommend and will definitely be back
Went last night for a meal with my partner, was blown away by the food, one place not to be missed. Great food, great music and very friendly staff. Would def recommend to anyone that hasnt been, you will not be dissappointed, well done Abraham!

This is my second visit in 2 days. Came across it last Time I was over here and found the food amazing along with the friendly atmosphere and great music. A must visit when you are over here.

First visit by chance last night. Outstanding buffet food, lovely staff, cracking atmosphere. Wasn't sure if we would enjoy it but my lovely lady and I both agree that we cannot wait to return but this time to try other meals. Advice will be sought on site ha ha. A lovely place to dine and really made to feel welcome. Many thanks indeed.
Really great food. I have even a lot of curry goat over the years and this place is up there as one of the best. Nice relaxed atmosphere as well.
Fab food, I had the gambian foil wrapped fish, hubby had jerk ribs and our boy had the benechin all of which we would highly recommend :-D such flavoursome food and fantastic customer service/general friendliness of staff, thank you

If you visit, try the Goat Curry with spicy Couscous, it is amazing.
If you are unsure of the menu don't worry the staff are so helpful the will talk you through it

I passed this restaurant one evening and the smells of spices and fruitiness come from it were amazing. I had to try it next day. The menu has a variety of authentic dishes. I went for Ackai and Salt fish and we also ordered some Jerk chicken. Everything was delicious and the sides were really good also. Well recommended!
Delicious food and very friendly staff. We had jerk ribs, jerk chicken and zingy fish cakes and all amazing. Even the deli sizes were quite big portions. A must try if you like Caribbean or African food.
What a little gem of a place!!! We went for Sunday buffet had the goat curry and jerk chicken!! Omg was addictive, in fact we went bk Monday night n got takeaway!! Goat curry, jerk chicken and jerk ribs all yet again was delicious! Got some left for breakfast!! :-)
This is now Deep South. Go there...try the chicken. You will not find better.
Some of the best ribs I've had in my life. The African chicken curry and chilli prawns were pretty bloody good too! Awesome food, awesome flavours! The owner is super nice and chatted with us while waiting for our food.
Just had a delivery to my lodge whilst on holiday. Came straight to my door. The food was amazing. So tasty. If I lived on the Isle of Wight then I would be ordering from here daily. Thanks for such nice food.
Why didn't we ever go in before? We ended up in Bendula by chance and we are so glad we took that chance! The cocktails are superb, the food is warm and cozy and home cooked like Grandma would. It is now on our "place to go". Thank you Abraham and the amazing chef!

The restaurant was warm, inviting and really chilled. Staff were amazing and just so lovely. The food - honestly so so good. I had jerk chicken with sweet potato fries - just so so yum. The jerk was spicy and luscious too. I also had a couple of cocktails and they were lush! After a rough day I was so happy to have found Bendula. Thank you folks for excellent company and super delicious food and drink.
