We came to celebrate my sister Bday party and were very impressed in this place, starting with amazing staff, value and quality of food ending with such a warm atmosphere. Thank you so much. Highly recomending.

Good food, good service by helpful staff and nothing seems to much trouble for them. Wonderful pizzas from a real pizza oven freshly made to your choice. A decent garden for the kids to play. A decent car park that seems to be full on most days. Booking is advisable as it is a popular place to eat.
When I see some reviews about The Gate, I have to wonder if some people have actually been there to eat, poor food, poor service etc. I wonder if they are trying to do a disservice to a great eating house?
Picked up a takeaway from The Gate last night and it was excellent. I was given an allocated time slot to collect and the food was boxed up and ready to go when I walked in. Hand sanitizer available to use as well.
Had the sea bass ravioli and when dished up at home it was of the same high standard as when eating it at the restaurant and still piping hot. Highly recommend if you want a night off from cooking.
We use this place for office lunches and sometimes private for myself. There’s such a lack of family friendly atmosphere and community these days in eateries. This place is a total breath of fresh air. Friendly and very fast. Food very clean and fresh. No dripping in oil greasy rubbish with a server who will barely acknowledge you. Very cosy too! Only thing is a noticeable lack of air con or shade in the garden. It’s worth the sweat! 🙂
Great food and friendly staff. The prices are good, but be warned the starters are pretty big and may fill you up more than you bargained for. The pasta dishes are good quality and there's good variety and desserts are always tasty, moorish and satisfying plus plenty of choice.
Absolutely brilliant. Really good service and the food was delicious. Tables nicely spaced out and we felt safe throughout our visit. Will definately be going back.
I've visited twice for dinner and not been disappointed either time. The outside of the building isn't great, but don't let that put you off - it's worth going in! The inside is like a mini-Tardis - there are quite a few tables.
The food each time has been great, the people have been lovely, and the price has been very reasonable.
I'll be going back!
