Wow! This place is incredible. The house is huge with lots of history and beautiful/different things to look at. You get to see the children's nursery, the dairy, the servants area, the laundry, the meat store and much more. The grounds are extensive with lots of lovely places to sit. You get to see
Great for a walk in the grounds and the house is small but lovely to walk around. Nice cafe with a good selection of hot and cold sandwiches, pies etc cute shops. Not a whole day out but ideal for an afternoon visit

Driving in to Audley End feels like you're entering a scene from Downton abbey, it's just stunning. We loved our visit and knew we were entering somewhere pretty special.
You will need around 3-4 hours to visit if you want to just wander through the house and extensive gardens. We wished we had take
Beautiful well kept. Last entry to the house In the winter months is 13:30pm. Friendly staff, but feel like your being watched and followed round (made me feel on edge a little bit - expecially because I had young children). No photography allowed inside the main house as The English Heritage don't
An interesting place and something different from the normal English Heritage property. The last entry to the hall is 15:00, inside you will find an amazing entrance hall. You are free to wonder round with information boards in each room and a volunteer on hand. There is no photography allowed in th
Beautiful walk around the gardens and house. Unfortunately the day I visited it was very hot, so didn't get to see the horses as they needed to be kept safe from the heat.
Stopped for tea and cake at the tearoom.
Would definitely recommend a visit here

Beautifull house! The nursery is lovely, amazing wallpaper. The others rooms are very nice to look at. Victorian kitchen where they film - The Victorian Way - from YouTube. On the grounds are the most beautiful old big trees. You can spend hours there.
Well maintained throughout...lovely ground. Staff were really helpful and knowledgeable.
Great for kids, they have a play area to keep the young ones busy.
Nice little coffee shop...and plenty of benches and chairs dotted around to rest and enjoy the views!

A very pleasant and interesting day beautiful house and alot to look at and staff were helpful and knowledgeable on all history. Lovely shop and tea rooms, also gardens are amazing so we'll kept. Definitely worth visiting.
It is a lovely setting with exstensive walks and wonderful walled gardens. The house is very dark and has lots of taxidermy. The upper floor coal store and nurseries were the best parts for me as lots of interest and history.
It was so quick and easy to get to this place and park, but I would recommend getting a membership as it makes it even easier. The house and gardens were wonderful, I took loads of pictures because I found it so fantastic. I would definitely recommend visiting this place. Absolutely stunning house w
I love it here, such a beautiful place.
As you would expect from an English Heritage property it is very well presented.
The grounds are vast and that makes it very easy to spend many hours here just enjoying the outside as well as the inside.
Depending on the day you go there are activities and de
Beautiful, interesting, worth the trip. The cafés closed too early - they need to stay open until the site closes. Otherwise fabulous!
Before visiting this place, I thought that Hampton Court Palace was the most luxurious place ever to exist in the UK. I was wrong. The fine art collection is beyond extraordinary. The main hall is sculpted in wood, and the level of details is amazing. The gardens are extremely clean, and one can ima

Beautiful house with stunning gardens and views. Easy to get to, however finding the car park was not the easiest. It’s a lot farther on than expected then there is only a small sign that appears out of nowhere.
Once parked, it is a short walk down to the house, there is an entrance fee unless like
