This afternoon the sun was shining, and so I decided, as one does, to have a bit of a picnic. Nothing fancy, just the essentials. Imagine my horror when I discovered I was fresh out of quail's eggs, and sun dried tomatoes. Thankfully, Waitrose had me covered with their essentials range, for just the core staples we can't do without. My picnic was fabulous. Thank you, Waitrose

Went there about 6 years ago, just bought a pack of jelly babies. The cashier was really nice, realizing that I was struggling with the currency a bit. She just said "Honey let me help you if that's alright." and that is one of core memories of staying in Saffron Walden. I hope my queen is doing well and got a generous raise for being an amazing worker.

Thank you to friendly helpful staff at Waitrose for keeping my shopping bag when i accidentally left it behind. I got through on the phone and spoke to a helpful member of staff straight away (rather than an answer machine) despite it being 7.30 in the evening. Good service thanks.

Ordered a click and collect on Sunday expecting them on Tuesday. Got a message on Monday morning to say it’s ready. Very pleased with such efficient service and friendly staff as always.

Nice supermarket! What surprises me comparing with Brussels where I live ; the enormous amount of ready cooked food. Doesn’t English people like to cook?

I occasionally visit this store. I went around 315pm, school kickout time so was expecting lots of parents and children. Today I managed to get everything on my shopping list -even the Cucumber (its currently out of stock or restricted purchase in other local supermarkets). The majority of shelves were well stocked, although some fruit and veg were out of stock. There was a brief wait at the till point. The assistant processed my items efficiently. There was the option of having a till receipt (love that Waitrose are considering the environment in all the small ways). The site was clean and I could easily navigate to items I needed. I was able to park in my desired area of the car park and could pay the parking machine using real cash, which was very useful as I'm counting the pennies right now. Didn't see any parents until leaving the store- luckily I had just missed the school rush.

Every time I go anywhere near Waitrose google asks me to write a review. Why? It is fine it is a Waitrose. It has always missed a hot chicken counter though. Perhaps that is not a thing anymore so it looses a star for that. £1.20 for a can of Heinz baked beans at time of writing which seems excessive. Perhaps in a few months that is seem tame.

Always a joy to shop. Staff always helpful. Parking signs need replacing as after paying to park as sign damaged, unreadable. Only find it was free and no offer of refund, staff said would pass message on.

Usual Waitrose excellence in stock and presentation. Has a very good response to COVID-19 with undercover area to queue to get in and separated outside click and collect desk. Very obvious cleaning of trolleys which gives extra confidence. As with all supermarkets the staff were good with social distancing but it varied between customers. However, given the sparsity of people it is easy to avoid those that are wandering around, on their phones like nothing has changed. Reasonable size store with in store bakery, meat and fish counters. The store staff were friendly and efficient so overall an enjoyable visit. I was able to get everything I needed and able to visit the market all within the one hour free parking I got for spending more than £10 in Waitrose.
