Visited on a Sunday around 6:30/7pm. We didn’t book a table but we were seated straight away. Our food was lovely, I would recommend the Garlic Bread starter and the Haddock and Chips. Also really generous portion sizes. Good service, and really nice views of the lake.
The best food I had since last 2 years in manchester. Have tried many places, but this place gave that warm feeling and a essnse of increased appetite when I went there. It's really a nice place to visit with good view and food. Fresh food is what made me write this review. Keep it up guys @ The Boathouse.
Had a great dinner! Brilliant view and service! We had fantastic haddock, cod and scampi with raspberry pavlova and cheese cake! Will definitely come again!
I have been quite a few times, and every time has been wonderful. The service is brilliant, staff always very helpful, and friendly. Food is amazing, we are a family of 10 and none of us have had a bad meal. Definitely recommend. Looking forward to going again.
Excellent restaurant. Celebrated our 69 th wedding anniversary with 14 family members. Food delicious nice and hot and brought to or table at the same time so we were eating together. Great selection on the menu. Friendly staff. We go quite often to their early bird. Highly recommend

I've not been here for year and after today I don't know why I don't go more often. There's a fantastic view of the lake from the restaurant. My friends and I all had the early bird menu option. I had smoked mackerel pate with cream cheese, toast and a small salad. My friends had broccoli soup with poppy seed bread and butter. And tuna and egg with salad. Cheese and onion pie with magnificent crispy, crunchy chips and beans. Steak pie with lots of steak in the filling and gravy and a haddock and chips. Three of us had soft whippy ice cream and sauce and an apple and blackberry crumble and custard was devoured very quickly. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. We'll definitely be back
Good food reasonably priced however bits missing from meals. Had to ask for them then waitress looked at us as if we were wrong.
We weren't wrong and the missing bits appeared.....they are on the menu!
We visited on 13/07/2023, the service was very good. The food was delicious. Just this restaurant has steep prices (they charge for a portion of steak £28 pounds). Amazing views though.
Went for a meal with my adult children and it was lovely the staff are attentive and helpful my daughter wanted a cocktail that was not on the drinks menu & they googled it & made her one & she said it was the best one she had tasted, food was nice & the view over looking the water is great nice relaxing restaurant. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First time for us trying this place. We had 'The Boathouse Prime Beef Burger' which was Fantastic, lovely Restaurant, very retro, the Staff were Brilliant too. We will definitely be going back. Highly Recomnended.
Friendly attentive staff. Nothing too much trouble. Accommodating to people's needs. Interesting watching the wildlife and the waters ports activities while we were eating. Will go again
We decided to book a table for father's day, we arrived a little early and were told our table wasn't quite ready and to order some drinks. We had just finished ordering and paying for drinks when we were informed our table was ready (this was before our time we'd booked for). We ordered our food and if came in reasonable time. The food was of great quality, and it tasted amazing. There was plenty of it too, just about the right size, not too much, but certainly no one could say too little. The double beef burger was just perfect. The white chocolate and orange cheesecake was sublime. The price was about right for the quality and size of the meals. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend!
