Mano A Bocca

This is a good sized Italian restaurant specialising in pizzas and pastas. Firstly, the service we had was absolutely excellent. For a table of 10 including two children we were waited on very patiently. Our waiter was friendly and was able to make good suggestions. The food also arrived pretty quickly considering it was a busy Friday night, and at this price point, I don't think I've had better Italian food. The pizzas were full of interesting and considered toppings, the bases thin and delightfully crispy, everything you could want in a pizza. Likewise my wife's Rigatoni was packed full of king prawns with a chilli kick judged perfectly. Doing a few things very well is certainly a winning combination and offers very good value casual dining, if this is what you're after you can't go far wrong visiting Mano a Bocca.

We ate here as a group of 50 for our daughters football team celebration. Service was good & speedy. Food arrived in good time considering there were 50 of us. Some good vegan options. Kids all enjoyed getting their own ice cream from the gelato stand inside, they also played outside in the piazza as it was a sunny day. Overall great meal, would recommend.

Lovely large, casual restaurant. The staff are lovely, food is excellent, the wine list has some familiar favourites along with interesting less familiar choices. We had two pizzas (fungi al tartufo, and the vegan courgette pizza but asked for normal mozzarella) and a mixed leaf salad. Both pizzas were delicious, but the mushroom pizza was a little soggy from the mushrooms releasing their liquid. I cook them out a bit first before adding them as a pizza topping to avoid this. The side salad was generous and the dressing very tasty. I ordered a glass of Cesanese, a red wine from Lazio which I had not heard of before. It was delicious. Medium weight, but very aromatic, and full of flavour. It was a lovely accompaniment for the truffled mushroom pizza. We also ordered dessert. My wife had vanilla ice cream, I ordered tiramisu. I am very particular about tiramisu, and rarely order it due to frequent disappointment. I went for theirs because it listed Marsala in the description, and it turned out to be one of the best I have ever had. Enough coffee and Marsala for a rich and indulgent flavour but without making the Savoiardi soggy, and a luxurious dousing of sabayon or over the top. It was a generous portion as well, served in a trifle cup. Tremendous! The staff were great. Very friendly and helpful, but without being over attentive. We had a great experience.

This place! I can't say enough good things about it. Wouldn't change a thing. The food is utterly delicious. I have two of the fussiest eaters ever (differently fussy too!) and they love the food. The kids set menu is such good value. That said, there are other options to choose from which are all fairly priced. And I know broccoli pizza sounds wrong but it is soooo right! Be warned, you'll want to go back.
