Salford Museum & Art Gallery Cafe - Salford - Photo album

It's one if the BEST museums in Manchester, especially Lark Hill Place in the ground floor which is a fantastic showing of people's life in 19th century. You can walk in old Victorian Street re-constructed from original shops, and feel how people lived in ancient UK. You can find beautiful galleries
Had a lovely time walking down an old salford street. Lots to see lovely art gallery. Nice cafe there also a shop
A wonderful place a real step back in time. They had an educational talk on Victorian washing which was obviously enjoyed by all the children. All staff are so helpful. Thoroughly recommend a visit. Cafe very reasonable prices.
Nice size of museum, small pay and display parking (£2.50 for a few hours min.may2023) reasonably priced cafe and a nice little park right next to the museum. The text describing artwork is small so you have to be tight up to the wall to read, which then stops others seeing the artwork. Be careful
Memories from my childhood, I took 2 grandchildren for a visit, and they enjoyed the experience. Lots of interesting exhibits, and the Victorian Street a glimpse of the past.
Nice greeting when we arrived and very informative. There are many rooms to have a look in,very varied so something for all ages. Nice cafe and I would recommend to give yourself an 1-1/2 hours. Bus stops right outside.
The counterwoman was so nice and helpful who helped me to book the visit by asking for my email address. The Lark Hill Place is fantastic showing the people’s life in 19th century.
Enjoyed visit to Salford museum and art gallery recently. Not been for a while but really enjoyed the atmosphere of the art gallery and especially the Victorian Street. Both have been improved recently and are well worth visiting. And a call into their Cafe is an additional incentive.
Great cafe reasonable prices lovely staff and Victorian street good day out for family really worth a visit. Also a short walk around the back is a beautiful park great for walk by the river or to visit walk round and let the children play in really well structured play area. Very clean lots of flow
One stop you must definitely visit when coming down to the university. The vibes, the aura, the architecture are simply splendid. Best for a group of friends and family or even lone wolfs like me 😜..go check it out
So this is actually a very small museum but with the park behind it we actually had a really good time! The Victorian street is absolutely beautiful the kids really enjoyed it (my only niggle is its too dark you can't really see the carriages) there were a few Victorian machines which the kids liked
Great traditional museum with stunning galleries, great ethical shop and lovely cafe. Highly recommend especially for the victoriana street and sweet shop.
Unless there is a special activity on, or your plan consists of archive research, I wouldn't say the museum is a place to spend a whole day. It's really pretty inside, loads to see, Victorian Street is interesting, and cafe is lovely. There is a small gift shop with some really pretty artisan produc
Used to come here with grandad now im coming with my little girl. Love the Victorian street with all the old shop's pub and houses. I think they should make it longer put more in there. Coffee shop is lovely nice cup of coffee and salted caramel cake. Parking available onsite though make sure you g
It's always worth a visit to Salford museum. Interesting features and a reasonably priced cafe.
Came with an elderly friend visiting the area from Scotland. She was extremely impressed with the exhibitions, building and general friendly welcome. We arrived not long after it opened so easily found parking at the front. Cafe was great, bright and reasonably priced. My friend couldn't praise the
Been coming here as a child and I still love it here. Lark hill place is great, children can dress up and walk around the street with more things for them to interact with. You can buy mystery bags for a donation which is great to get kids interested in art. Also in the art gallery there are more ac
