Stumbled into Bernieres Tea Room on our way to Salisbury Cathedral and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and the atmosphere felt authentically local--in fact, I'm sure we were the only tourists in the place on this December day.
I do not normally write reviews but having read some of the nasty ones on this place I thought I would let people know that I have been to this restaurant a number of times, have always had excellent service and very good food. No-one has ever been rude, I have never had to wait and I have absolutely nothing to complain about!
Went for a Christmas lunch meal. Service was excellent and we had lovely food. The plates and food were piping hot.
Why have they closed permanently?!!? These were my all time favourite scones! Seriously the best!
Good quality teas and cakes are delightful if you visit on a sunny day.
