Well folks, I turned out of Salisbury to find myself in Porton. The Old Railway hotel is under new ownership. I've just eaten the most delicious, lightest vegetable curry/soup. With Fluffy onion bargee. Hubby had light flavourful birhiani.
We polished the lot off. I'm wheat intolerant and the chef made sure I had the right food. Can't rate this place highly enough. All you have to do is walk through the door. It's worth it.

Really nice room for the money we paid. Slightly noisy as it is located next to a road. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Free WiFi and good connection to.

Had a really nice meal here. The steak was cooked to perfection. Also had the Cherry Cheescake, really nice.
The Menu is not extensive, but what they do is very well done. This is a very nice place to eat and drink, I will return.

Great local pub with friendly staff and customers. Freehold as well so they serve a wide variety of beers 👍. Food is very good also and always accomodate yoir requirments. 👍

First time staying here and it was all very good. Great room and the restaurant does a fantastic burger. There is absolutely nothing to do in Porton so if you just want to relax in the evening then fine but if you want more to do then stay in Salisbury. I was here for work purposes so the lack of nothing was not a problem.

The whole place was clean and comfortable.
The restaurant food was tasty and well presented. There was enough to choice on the menu to satisfy us. All the staff where friendly and welcoming.
The bar have a decent selection of alcohols.
We stayed in the deluxe double. The room was quite large but it was still cozy.
We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely consider another stay if we where in the area again.

Lunch time. Loved the food, Thai mango and prawn salad to start was delicious. The room was cold but that was due to technical faults and the service was slow due to staff going home. The decor is good and the staff we saw were polite and very apologetic. I would love to come back.

Popped in for a pint late afternoon. Friendly staff greeted us, good selection of beers, ciders and spirits, all well priced. Very clean and no stink of fans from smokers. Will visit again for a bite to eat, fro the extensive menu. Convivial place to go and enjoy a pint.
