My girls.and I popped in for a light bite to eat and a drink. I had chips n cheese, the girls had a roll on ham, cake, coffee and an icecream. Overall the food was OK, cakes and ice cream were all good and enjoyed by all. This was a dog friendly cafe which we were delighted about. Overall I would recomend this cafe to others.

Great little cafe, and well priced for what is on offer. The staff are polite and friendly. Certainly worth a visit for a spot of breakfast or lunch if you are in and around the Saltcoats high street.

This wee place that has been recently been done up is fantastic and has vegetarian options as well as you can bring your dog in and they give you a bowl of water and food.

Great wee cafe. I worked here when I was 13 till I was 16 for Chalmers and Gloria, I'm 62 now. The food is much better than it was back then, nice staff and good selection of wholesome food, you can't beat a bit of Lothians slice with cheese and onions 😋 followed by scones and jam, with a delicious capuchino, bonus to be able to take your dog in. Love going here would highly recommend.

First of all, it hasn't changed much from how I remember it in the 70s. I'd just like to ask whose idea serving cheese & pickle sandwiches vertically on a plate was? Especially when the cheese filling was grated, not sliced and the bread (pan loaf) was dry with no butter to act as an adhesive to the cheese!
The result? Fricking cheese all over my plate and hardly any left on my sandwich!
Anyway, it was okay, I suppose apart from my wife ordering a cheese and ham toastie and being presented with a ham sandwich.

Was given a cheeseburger with a hair inside the roll - fry up came 5 mins later - toast came almost 20mins later when fry up was finished, along with my daughters toasty (20mins after 1st dish was served to our table) - other orders were being dished to other tables while we never had our complete order for 20mins - so unorganised!!!

Had a large cappuccino with a toasted scone with butter and jam. The coffee was delicious and the scone fresh and generously-sized. The staff were friendly too. Definitely somewhere I enjoy going :-)
