Back open after about two years being closed. Done really well inside and great to see lots of people inside it again. I didn't have any food but they do pie, peas and gravy and are looking to do more food when the kitchen is finished.
Great place to stop for a pint with a large carpark at the back.
The new management have really done this place up! Looks and feels amazing, great drinks choice and a lovely pie bar. Will be coming back here regularly on our local dog walks :)
The New Hall Tavern is open again..Reopened this August Bank Holiday.
We dropped in to have a look and a drink. Really warm welcome and a cracking pint.
Loved the story telling chairs in the window and the decor is warm, cosy and welcoming.
Was told the full food menu would be coming soon, but they did have a pie bar..Good selection of local made warm pies.
We will come back again.
Good to see a pub reopened rather than closing nowadays.
We were staying at the Red Rock fisheries caravan site down the road for the bank Holiday weekend.
A delightful lunch on Saturday with the family. First class menu and fair prices. Andrea and Mike were lovely hosts. The Haddock was melt in your mouth tasty. Top chef. A real jewel in rural Samlesbury.
Really lovely and well looked after family run pub. Everyone is really nice, drinks are great and the pies are delicious. Looking forward to coming again!
I've driven past this pub loads of times on my way to work and wondered what it was like inside. To be honest my judgement was it looked a bit shabby and I thought it was probably destined for closure. It seems like it's out of the way and indeed it is but after visiting recently for a relative's birthday get together I was pleasantly surprised. Apparently it used to be the haunt of brewery workers up the road. Notoriously heavy drinkers they would have needed somewhere to slake their thirst after a daily slog in the brewery. All those beer fumes would most certainly have given the workers a craving even the most stoical teetotaler would have found hard to resist. Nowadays of course the pub is modern and smart, they serve a good pint of Guinness properly pulled and plenty of premium continental lagers. They have that most sacred of public house institutions a pie bar and they serve chips and mushy peas with them too. Oh my what a treat to find somewhere like this. I could have stayed all night but I was driving. Nevermind, it was dog friendly. New Hall Tavern, not to be missed.
Lovely home cooked food, reasonable prices, relaxed atmosphere, polite and friendly staff, had the beef burger, one of the best I’ve tasted.
Great to see the place reopened, revamped, clean, and tidy. Hopefully all goes well and food service will follow soon.
Called in yesterday, lovely warm welcome from bar staff and landlady .
Great food. Trio of puddings is to die for. With a lovely service to top it off
