Longhorn Cafe

The environment was very warm and welcoming when we entered. The staff was friendly, the food prices are about the medium range so it's not too expensive to have a dinner there with a family. I had the Double cheeseburger and it was super tasty and filling. All in All it was a very good dining experience!

Good family place for a good, old fashioned grilled hamburger. The sides were great and my husband had a nice milkshake at the end of the meal. Prices were reasonable. Went during the pandemic and everything was clean and tables were distant from each other. I saw lots of to-go-orders being delivered to cars. I would come again.

Been quite a while since our last visit. Had a craving for chicken fried steak and we were NOT disappointed!! Tender and flavorful with mashed potatoes like your Mama used to make. Ok, like MY Mama use to make! 😁 Very enjoyable experience. 5 stars for the quality and service. Gonna have to remember this one. Thanks, Longhorn Cafe!!

We ordered takeout from The Longhorn Cafe this past weekend. The burgers were great and the tater tots were delicious and super crispy but the onion rings were awful! They were glorified onion strings. So thin and not crispy at all. It tasted like they were sitting in the oil for a while. I definitely would not recommend getting them.

This is our go to place for good homey American food (Especially the fried okra!)The food is decently priced and the portions are really large so you can share a lot of plates and save money! The tables are sticky with a lot of the varnishing that doesn’t get properly maintained and that’s about the only negative comment I have along with the tables being crooked because they are cantilevered off the wall and don’t have proper support. Besides those minor comments, they have a small arcade area and a patio and are always fast at serving the food!

I like the food and I usually have OK experiences here. I don't mind the casual atmosphere, and it's nice not having to tip waters. I especially like the chicken fried chicken meal. That said, the staff could use better training (and common sense). I came in and ordered a sandwich and asked for a meal. The girl at the register said she was new and couldn't figure out how to ring it up as a meal and asked if I still wanted the onion rings and drink. I interpreted that as "do you want to pay separately/more for them because I don't know what I'm doing". Meanwhile about 7 other employees were wandering around behind her, I guess asking someone with more experience didn't come to mind. I didn't want to make a big deal so I just ordered something else. The more I thought about it, the more it annoyed me. Still giving 4 stars because I usually enjoy eating there, but I hope the service improves.

I think this is the best burger place in San Antonio. Now these aren't fancy gourmet burgers, these are good old fashioned greasy burgers. When you just want a great burger without all the fuss this is the place. Super kid friendly, they have some video games and a playground. Lots of beer in bottles and just a ll around good atmosphere.
