This place is beautiful and chic. I love it here. The service is always impeccable right from the start. We are always greeted so nicely and thoughtfully. One might ask how it can be thoughtful but when I’m given a black napkin rather than a white one so as not to leave lint on my pants and my son is acknowledged when most children aren’t, it’s thoughtful. It’s a level of service you don’t find anymore. The popovers are so light and flaky. They just melt in your mouth. The whipped strawberry butter is so creamy and sweet and soft. It’s whipped perfection. The broth was so warm and salty. It made me feel so good. I’d go back just for that. Dipping the popover in the broth made them both so much better! The eggs Benny with bacon was so rich and decadent and creamy. I could only eat one and boxed the other for later. The bacon was thick and meaty. It was so salty and it paired wonderfully with the avocado. The egg was 10/10 perfect! A nice little side of fruit and home fries came with the meal which totally made the meal complete. The burger was so good I barely got a photo! Clearly we were eager to get to it judging by the hole poked on the top. It was perfectly cooked to a medium. The cheese was meaty and gooey and every bite was so satisfying. Their truffle fries are always a must! Beautiful space, great food, great service.

The menu is the pace is limited but this makes it easier for the customers to choose what they want for their orders. The food is made to perfection and quite on the healthy side. This image the grain bowl which is 18 dollars but with Salmon it is 30 dollars! The taste would be bland for someone who is used to only very flavourful food.

I have places I like to eat at, but Mariposa is now my favorite. The menu is big enough to keep you engaged, is not overwhelming, offers excellent selections. The floorplan is done well and despite it's small footprint offers an environment that makes you feel as though you are in your own world. Service was excellent and the wait staff is attendant without being intrusive. My food came out promptly and displayed well.

If you are shopping at La Cantera, this place is a must! You can relax and enjoy your lunch and drink to complete your shopping day at Neiman Marcus. This place offers a variety of great dishes and refreshing drinks. Their bread and strawberry butter are do delicious, you just might want to order them to go!

I've been to Mariposa multiple times, which is located on the second floor of NM at La Cantera. They have a great menu selection, including some excellent salads, as well as sandwiches and entrees. The healthy choice items are even marked with the macros they contain! A nice touch that is definitely appreciated. The consommé served before the meal, along with their pop pastry with strawberry butter are both amazing. Personally, I can't have the pop pastry due to having Celiac Disease, but everyone I've gone with raves about it. I have tried the butter though, which has a gentle sweetness that isn't overwhelming. The seared salmon salad is an easy 10/10, with artichokes, hearts of palm and goat cheese on top of the tender salmon itself. My only complaint was the house-made creme brûlée, which was not tempered correctly, which led to a flan-like consistency, but not as good. There were chunks of custard as opposed to a nice creamy texture, and the flavor of Texas honey was lacking as well. Our server Rose was outstanding, even with being so busy. I do wish they'd bring back their gluten-free flourless cake. It would be made on the spot and had about a 10-15 minute wait due to this. It was hands down the best flourless cake I've ever had, shame they got rid of it.
