The Saratoga

I've come here twice and both times I've been impressed by their quality of cocktails and service. It is also often packed even on week nights. My wife had the recommended burger. We both enjoyed the meat very much but found the burger to have too much vegetables. I would recommend checking this place out.

Has an old-fashioned gentleman's club vibe that would be the perfect place for sipping on some whisky or scotch. I think their drink menu was larger than their food menu, and the floor to ceiling wall of liquor was also pretty impressive. I tried the Seven-Spice Chicken Slider and the Crispy Hen-of-the-Woods Mushrooms. Both were delicious, but also quite heart attack inducing. The chicken slider was actually a fried chicken with some cream/white sauce. It was pretty small for the price of $8 -- probably cost about $1 per bite. The hen-of-the-woods mushrooms also soaked up a ton of oil, and it's a lot to consume for one person. I think my heart felt a lot heavier after finishing it and my blood pressure was probably higher. Needs to go with a lot of water! It's still a really nice place for winding down in the evening with friends or colleagues. Love the two story concept! The only minor issue is the bathrooms are on the lower level, so sometimes when there are private events downstairs, you have to interrupt them to get to the restrooms.

The drinks are outrageously priced but the atmosphere is wonderful. They have an extensive Scotch list and giant ice cubes perfect for drinks. The upstairs bar has great service. The downstairs bar could take a few pointers. Do not miss the tater tots--they're little cubes of deliciousness with powder bacon on top!
