The Royale is my favorite bar in San Francisco. I mean, I met my husband there, so no other bar will be able to surpass how special this place is to me. It has the best live jazz music that you can easily see on a Friday or Saturday night, the cocktails are solid, the bartenders are so lovely, there’s a cute dog that hangs out there all the time… what more could you want? Did you say a pool table?! WELL THEY GOT THAT TOO AND A PHOTO BOOTH. Hold onto your butts for the best night.

Great spot. I used to live in this neighborhood eons ago. Good selection of drinks. 2 levels. Pool table. Big screen for sports. They even had a dj spinning vinyl just like my old days living here. The crowd was laid back and friendly. Will definitely come again. Royale without the cheese !!!

As it was very cold outside, we wanted to wait inside at closing time with other customers, but the security shouted at us among so many people and kicked us out.I don't understand why it was so rude. a business employee should always be courteous to customers.I hope business officials see this comment and examine this incident that happened at 02:00 am on Sunday.

Amazing vibes and drinks. I went Saturday night when a jazz band was playing live! The bartender Stephanie was the kindest and the best! Love this place.

Great space with a pool table and regular live music. Two restrooms and an upstairs balcony space with tables. A great neighborhood bar and venue. Dog friendly! Outdoor seating available.

Been here few times before and have always enjoyed my time until the other night. The female bartender I've never encountered before was very rude and tried to dictate to our group how much her tip should be and basically told us to leave. Started telling people at the door they could only get beer and shots as she wasn't making anymore cocktails.
