I stopped here for my lunch and had the smothered Burrito. They had my food ready quickly and service was great and the food was hot and delicious! I would recommend this restaurant for very good Mexican food, more Authentic, plus not high prices and a bonus good service!!

Love the food here. The staff have always been awesome and helpful. I've never had to wait long for our order to be cooked and served, even when there are multiple modifications. The plates have always come out hot and with no problems. This place is one of my family's favorites!

Old fashioned place with a lot of history. Food is always great and service is impeccable. EDIT: apparently this restaurant has been shut down by the board of health. I never had any problems here, and I am sure I will give them a second chance when they reopen.

I've been eating here for nearly twenty-five years. Many things have changed over the years, but one thing remains the absolute best I've ever had: the smothered burritos with cheese and onions. I'm not sure what else they even have on the menu; I don't care. I've had smothered burritos all over the western United States, including on the Mexican border; nobody has chili verde like La Frontera. It is the best I've ever had, and it has remained the same delicious flavor consistently for as long as I can remember. There are other authentic Mexican food joints I love as well, but nobody's smothered burritos can top those at La Frontera.

I love one dish - the smothered burrito - and they've kept it consistent for 20 years. When I travel into Salt Lake County, I go out of my way to stop in. The salsa is hot and satisfies my umami craving. The chips used to be handmade, and perhaps they still are, but they lack the transparent, slightly oiled thinness from the past. All in, it's a great little greasy spoon for Mexican food.

This is my family’s favorite restaurant! We are regulars. The service is amazing, the staff is super friendly. The chips and salsa are delicious to start off and the Dr Pepper tastes like it was from the heavens. Dr Pepper and Mexican food is the best combo. I get the chili verde bean and cheese burrito smothered in cheese, no meat. The food is always hot and comes out fast. Something I love to do is dip the chips in the chili verde.

Good authentic Mexican food. I am from southwest Texas so it isn't the best i have had but it wad pretty good for Utah, where Goff Mexican food and bbq is really lacking. The special I ordered was good came with the drink and the typical rice and beans and wad petty good priced. I will go back to try more options.

Always one of my favs. Love their smothered burrito. I miss the older recipe for their chips. The ones they have now are hard and too thick. I do look forward to seeing the waitress Rose. She is always so nice and pleasant.

Might want to go there earlier on a Saturday night. Seemed a bit understaffed. Also one of our party was being a hassle for the wait staff. She just recently found she has celiac desease, and was being careful not to eat gluten (eyes roll out of skull) but the the waiter didn't know what was gluten free (he was, as he said "just the cashier"). Even so, they eventually were very accommodating for her.
