Nice place with nice character. Warm fireplaces to welcome you. My wife and I had a sandwich each for a quick bite on the way somewhere. Food was served quickly and with a smile. Sandwiches were fresh and tasty.

Warm and friendly. We dropped in for lunch and were welcomed by staff and locals. The food was great and well priced. Would definitely visit again but it's a long way from Nelson NZ.

The heart of the pub are the staff who are friendly and welcoming. The food is good pub food. The beer is good and well kept. Good real ales. Live music 3rd Sunday of each month. CAMRA East beds Rural Pub of the Year. This is a pub to keep going back to.

Stumbled upon this little beauty whilst researching my family tree. Lovely friendly welcome from staff and locals. Decided to stay for lunch, one of the best steaks I have ever eaten; cooked to perfection. I could tell it was proper fresh along with the vegetable, nice sized portion. Also a proper sun trap. If you smoke cigarettes make sure you have plenty because there are no shops for miles around. It is served by a bus from Sandy and Biggleswade but check the times because buses finish mid afternoon, luckily the bus stop is outside the pub (in the direction of Biggleswade)

Very friendly service, good well-kept beers and very nice food. A nice touch was that whilst there was no specific kids menu, my children were offered a great set of options which were cooked to order and they loved their meals.
We visited for Saturday lunch and will be returning.
