Friendly staff, good beer selection but don't currently serve food. Enough eating options available in town to address yiur hunger. Stayed in their B&B for one night. Thought the room was comfortable and clean. Had TV, fan, mini fridge and tea/coffee. Only disappointment was nothing was said about breakfast and it was a prepacked croissant, pot of yogurt and banana in the room. Felt that was a bit below expectation. Otherwise, happy.
We stay here quite a bit when visiting family. If you want to visit Sawston the only real options are here or the Premier Inn in Whittlesford. This place is very well located and you can walk pretty much anywhere you need to. The rooms are quite cozy. The staff have always been pretty nice not really much else to say. If you need a hotel in Sawston I'd just stay here.
Great place to spend a night. I'm working away from home and this was perfect. The team are great, the rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was awesome. Good value for money. A couple of beers and some good conversation with locals in the bar. If you are an 'influencer' type looking for that perfect aesthetic, this is possibly not for you. Spend 5x and enjoy. If you like the real world this place rocks.
Ignore any older comments about the rooms. We booked to stay here (2 adults, 1 child and a dog) and the rooms had clearly been recently refurbished. Beds were comfy, shower was clean and worked great, couldn't fault the room whatsoever. Didn't eat or drink in the pub, but very much enjoyed our breakfasts the next morning. Owners were lovely too. Would definitely recommend
When visiting my brother in law in Sawston, I always pop in for a couple of pints. Great little pub with really friendly staff.
Stayed for 1 night. Staff and regulars are very friendly. Had a stable room, newly refurbished, with own outdoor seating area. Room was spacious and clean. Lovely village location. Would definitely recommend.
The new landlord, Ben, has just taken over recently and really went out of his way to make us feel at home, even giving us a pillow he had just bought for his own bed when we were short.
The breakfast was great with loads of options and again Ben had made the effort to get in Gluten Free options for us when I added that to our booking notes.
The rooms are newly done and have everything you need. With a slightly softer bed (which I think Ben is planning to remedy), this would have been a 5 star review. I would definitely recommend
We had a great one night stay at The King's Head, in the area for a friend's birthday. We stayed in one of the stable rooms in the back garden and it was exactly what we needed; spacious and clean with a comfy bed, fluffy towels, a super hot shower + space to hang your clothes. We were really impressed for the price and with a large kettle provided + mugs, tea, coffee and milk we were very comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was excellent with a variety of options and the super-friendly staff went out of their way to accommodate me as a vegan; getting in museli and soya milk especially and cooking mushrooms and tomatoes separately without butter. If you have dietary requirements just call them in advance and they will happily sort you out. We'll definitely be staying again when we are next in the area. 10/10
Fantastic little pub doing B+B also. Beautiful inside, low (and I mean really low, like about six ft. Maybe it should be renamed 'The Injured Head'...) oak beam ceilings. Pub is a bit on the small side... perhaps I should say cosy, yeah, cosy is better! Stayed the night and the room was perfectly fine, breakfast was great, got exactly what we asked for. Staff also very pleasant and greeted us warmly. Would recommend and stay again. Good value too!
Awesome pub with amazing staff who make you feel at home. I would also highly recommend the rooms that they offer. They’re really comfortable and the staff take really good care of you.

Perfectly fine warm, clean, nice room for the night. Pub looked nice and I wish I'd gone in for a pint!
This pub had recently been refurbed during Covid-19. Rooms where comfortable with everything you needed, excellent value for money.
We were made to feel welcome by Robbie and Anita and nothing to much trouble. Breakfast included in price and was amazing. All good we had was home made and delicious lived the Lasagna.
They do there best to adhere to Social Distancing, and if bars full locals were asked to sit outside as well as general visitors.

A lovely pub with friendly staff and customers. The accommodation is clean warm and comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone. Very well located for the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.

We were Michelle's first guests on Wednesday after she had a whirlwind four days after moving in last Friday. The pub is a lovely village local, the locals are very welcoming and have taken Michelle to their hearts as one of their own already and they are lucky - she keeps one of the finest pints of Greene King IPA I've ever tasted. The room was clean, accessible and comfy and the breakfast was great. I don't recognise this place from previous reviews and would recommend it to everyone. Michelle deserves to succeed in her Sawston adventure.
