visited this chip shop on 16 May 2010. The fish and chips were great, good quality, hot and a reasonable price. I can totaly recomend it.
Came in and the staff cleared off a table and got it prepared swiftly for us in the cafe and we had fish and chips which were cooked to perfection, curry sauce was fabulous and the scraps were a delightful treat! Plenty of drinks on offer but I had the Paradise Punch Tango. The perfect chip shop, would recommend to anyone!
Based on a score of 4.9 on here (Aug 23) we ignored the main promenade chippies and headed here. We weren't disappointed. 😋 For £35 we had 4 fish suppers (2 haddock, 1 cod & a lite bite haddock). They were a good size portion with free scraps. The fish were nicely cooked, not oily and tasty batter. A definite 5 STARS 🤩. there is a small cafe too but full when we arrived so we got takeaway. Highly recommend, see attached pictures. Don't walk on by. 😎👍
Lovely fish and chips with friendly, attentive staff. The batter was crispy and full of flavour, the cod melted in the mouth, and the chips were creamy.
Come at opening to secure a table if you want to sit in, as cafe is small.

It was the best Fish and chips that I have ate in UK. It was really fresh and sweet with flaky Haddock!! It was a small shop but high quality fresh fish standard of Fish and chips. It was run by a lovely couple!! Price was reasonable!! 5 ⭐️ It allow my pet as well.
I was stunning by them. The fish is excellent and I recommend the cod for sure, it is slightly better the haddock. The chips are great as well, but if you don't have a big stomach I think you can't finish 1 portion alone. I also tried the jumbo sausage, I had to say it wasn't good enough, save the money next time.
What can I say apart from amazing from the service to the food.
Lovely lady served us, I could not find a fault. I would 100% book a table as they are extremely popular and busy.
I made a mistake with my order but a lovely young man came out and spoke to me and we sorted the order, very helpful and will 100% be going again. Don't go for the big players go to this lovely little hidden gem.
Arguably, the best fish and chips I've had. The chips were great, and the fish was absolutely delicious. Thin crispy batter, beautifully fresh, moist fish. Cannot recommend this place more.
Nobody gets 5 stars off me but this place is 5 plus stars, by far the best cod I've tasted, its beautiful white cod and thick flakes chips are always hot crispy and fluffy, topped with mushy peas for me and curry for my partner you can't get better. Been using this chippy over 30 years from being a kid and is well worth the 2 hour drive
Delicious, fresh, bright white flakey cod, perfectly fried in delicious batter, crispy chips and thick tasty mushies. Even the Tea was nice! I might have had fish and chips as good, but I can’t remember when. Maybe Murgatroyds near Leeds airport years ago, but not better than these…lovely staff as well.

The best fish and chips we have had in Scarborough. Tasted delicious, non greasy and perfect portion sizes. We love how you do kids sized portions for a really reasonable price- as we found that many other restaurants don’t offer this (just to note the picture of my daughter eating her portion- had devoured most of it already). I also love the fact that you are actively trying to be as eco friendly as you can- my daughter wanted a cone and you had cardboard alternatives rather than the foam- not only delicious food but eco responsive too- well done!
The lady who was front of house was really polite and friendly- even though it was really busy - the service was seamless and with a smile- my little girl was excited to pop her head in and say thank you again on our way home.
The main fryer man whom we presumed was joint owner with the lady- was incredibly attentive to the orders he was getting and was dressed really smart- just adds another reason to return- as all was really clean, staff were smart and happy!
We noticed the 5 star food hygiene cert too- which I always look for.
A gorgeous hidden gem- situated just at the corner of the car park we always use opposite the famous joke shop!
