Have had a quick bite to for lunch here which was excellent so was keen to try a full on evening dining experience. Was not disappointed, food was excellent and not over priced with a good keenly priced wine list. Started with gin cocktails which were much larger than expected and really good. Nice selection of food which was beautifully presented and there was a lovely atmosphere but the waitress absolutely made the evening. Her attentiveness was faultless and nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly recommend Lazenbys and I’m sure it will become one of our favourites - well done.

First time We have visited Lazenbys for Champagne Brunch. It was a belated birthday treat. Absolutely loved it. Food exceptional & plenty of it. Will definitely return.

My fiancé and I had a valentine's meal on Saturday evening. We both thoroughly enjoyed all of our courses (the goats cheese starter was particularly amazing!). Was a lovely romantic setting and our waiter was very welcoming and attentive. Can't wait to eat here again!! New favourite place!

Valérie et Simon sont toujours aussi accueillants, la carte donne envie de goûter tous les plats. Quant à la carte des vins, elle est tout simplement fantastique ! J'ai découvert dans ce restaurant la pastille menthe, j'en ai acheté en rentrant !

Had birthday champagne brunch with friends and family the food was beautiful a lovely selection of cold meats cheeses and fruit to start followed by a full English and if that's not enough some very tasty pancakes.

Wandering around for a dog friendly place and we found this little gem! Very lovely vibe, soft music and amazing service, especially the tall French guy! So attentive. The food is all so well thought out and delicious. It’s now a must! A very romantic spot.
Went for meal with my wife on NYE. Service was excellent and so was the food. Fresh, juicy king prawns, crab gratinade was lovely too. Shared a paella which was stuffed with fresh seafood. Would definitely go again if I find myself in Scarborough
absolutely lovely little spot for a charming dinner!!! me and my partner were looking for somewhere to have a fancy lobster dinner as a special occasion and found this place! the staff were so funny and friendly, they let us meet our lobster before he was cooked (the lobster's name was manolo (also you don't have to do this haha, we just wanted to)). all the food was INCREDIBLE: the calamari, the lobster platter, the cheesecake dessert - all spectacular! we were even given little palate cleansers between courses, the staff really went the trouble of making this a really special dining experience. this was a year ago by the way, and me and my partner still frequently dream about this meal.

As somewhat newbies to Scarborough I was left really disheartened as most surrounding restaurants were fully booked until later in the evening. Stumbled upon licorella on chance! And what a lucky chance it was. Firstly, a vibrant clean welcoming atmosphere. Very friendly and accommodating staff with great knowledge of the menu. Open kitchen with a full view of your order being cooked, straight out the pan, on the plate and to your table steaming hot!! Clean glass wear and cutlery even had a waitress select the correct cutlery for what was ordered!! And who doesn’t love a freebie as soon as we sat we were given a Russian salad to taste! I've had my eye on Licorella for a few years when visiting the area as we like to treat ourselves to a nice restaurant while away. I think it may have changed ownership at some point as the name has changed. However, the menu has stayed impressive, especially for seafood, which I love. I decided this was the trip on which I'd try lobster and felt this was the place to go and wasn't disappointed. I opted for the pasta negra half lobster. The chef made life easy for me by shelling it, which was a relief, if I'm honest! The pasta with lobster sauce was superb and plentiful, needed as though lobster meat is incredible, there is never much of it! Our Tuna tartare starter was lovely and beautifully presented. My partner had the crab hake main, and the fish was beautifully cooked. We also received a complimentary appertiser and a palette cleanser. We were served, I think, by the owner and a young waitress in training who was very sweet. The chef came out during our visit to ask how it was and received a compliment. My only 2 suggestions would be that they have an impressive wine and champagne list. However, wine by the glass options are limited to 2, and a third would be welcome. Finally, the interior is nice and cosy but maybe needs a bit of a refresh. In summary, though, a great culinary experience, thank you!
Called in on the off chance of getting a table, so pleased our first restaurant choice was full. The service was superb. I had mussels as a starter which were the best I'd eaten, the steak with prawns and caviar was cooked exactly as asked. My partner also really enjoyed his oyster starter and steak with scallops. A lovely bottle of wine finished off our delicious meal. Lovely finishing touches included the complementory 'amuse bouche' and the palate cleansing sorbet.
We will definitely return.

Went to Lazenby's last night for a birthday celebration and we could not fault the place. Lovely atmosphere, amazing food and the staff were lovely - they did everything they could to make the birthday celebration really special! Would highly recommend the place. We will definitely visit again next time we're in Scarborough.
Really nice place... great atmosphere, good service and food was first-class, we choose the fish dishes from the menue cooked beautifully. I had little glance around the restaurant....as you do, and the steaks looked rather nice. It's well worth seeking out this little Scarborough gem, it was a Tuesday night when we were there but having said that...it was relatively full. Five stars from me.
