One of the best Indian food I’ve ever had in UK (though I had specifically asked for spicy food). And when I say the taste was great, believe me it was awesome, as I’m an Indian. Ambience was so-so but the food taste and quality was muah! I found real NAAN here and not the tesco/aldi BREAD! The portion size of starters was not great but it was okay considering the prices.
The TRP of this restaurant is they let you carry your own booze with you for just £1/person! This thing was one of its own and I haven’t seen anything like this in any of the places in Britain. We carried whiskey and beers and they provided the glasses & ice. Too good to be true!
Only thing I felt not upto the mark was hospitality of the staff members. They didn’t seem to be welcoming or approachable. They were rather rude and unpleasant. If that gets sorted out, I’d love to visit them again!
We were a party of 8 and had a fabulous time at this lovely restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their starter and mains were delicious too. Staff were all attentive and chatty which was really nice. Often walked past this place ,but didn't venture inside because it didn't look very inviting from the outside ! So glad some friends recommended it and we decided to book. Certainly one of Scarborough 's hidden jewels and the nicest onion bhajis I've had in years. Thankyou for a lovely evening!!

The curry is of an exceptional level and if your a bit daft in the head the lime pickle is awesome!
I won't order from anywhere else for takeaway.. Well ,not for Indian anyway.
I don't order my pizza from here obviously.. that would just be a bit wrong wouldn't it. Plus they don't sell pizza.. it's an Indian, Richard!

I was in Scarborough 13th to 15th July 2023 and eat at Rice & Spice everyday. The food was excellent the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the service was brilliant. I even asked for certain things to cooked in a special way and they were very obliging.
I'am a great lover of excellent Indian cuisine. Been to a number of superb restaurant's in the Newcastle area trying different dishes. This place is a must go to establishment up with the best. I tried the recommended Haandi Bhuna Lamb on Tuesday 27 June 2023. It is there with the best tender succulent lamb dishes you will ever taste. Great service, great atmosphere and you can eat at leisure without being rushed with your food as in some other restaurants. Give it a go if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed. Going back to visit relatives in November this year and I will definitely will be visiting this excellent restaurant again.

Wow this has got to be the best Indian I have ever tasted. The chicken tikka massala and the jalfrezi were just so tasty with good sized portions and the staff were super friendly x will definitely be going back thank you x
Tried it after it was recommended by people we met in Scarborough.
The atmosphere was good, very friendly staff, the waiter was particularly funny.
First Indian restaurant experience for me, was expecting hot hot hot.
Just ordered the recommended platter for 2, literally nothing was all that spicy, just delicious, not too pricey either.
Definitely recommend.
