Absolute gem, accidentally found this place on a very rainy afternoon while in Scarborough to attend a concert. What a find!!!! Fantastic light crispy batter, lovely mushy peas and great chips. Couple of tables inside if you want to sit down. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely be my go to place next time I'm in town.
I go here every time I come to Scarborough. Lovely tasting freshly made fish and chips at amazing prices. Highly recommended 👌

The best mom and pop owned fish and chips I ever had. Can’t believe how affordable it was - WITHOUT compromising on taste & quality.
Visited Scarborough for the day and HAD to get a fish and chips. Ended up deciding on this place because everywhere else was extortionate £££
Batter was the perfect crunch - no oily aftertaste. Super light and delicious. Fish was melt in the mouth. Not even a lie. The chips were perfect - not too heavy, we ate in so we got to customise how we wanted them seasoned- which is a +++. Condiments spot on. Mushy peas was exactly what I was after, not gooey, but soft with a good bite, very tasty. Everything was fresh and super light, with small fish & chips being filling enough. And even discussed future veggie options - an extra plus as the owner was passionate about making sure he was doing veggie right & not just the sake of it - massive respect.
Atmosphere was great, very friendly and relaxed. Nice to sit down after a long day away from the bustle. Price - cheapest we found in the entire area!!! If you’re looking for a great classic then avoid the rip off prices at the harbour - AND GO HERE!!
Best fish and chips I’ve ever had!!! Made fresh for us. Had a lovely golden batter with juicy fresh fish on the inside. Has sit down space if you want it, but also does take away.
We tried the Princess F&C after reading good reviews. Really enjoyed the fish and chips (and curry sauce). It was all freshly cooked when we ordered. Would definitely eat here again.
Called in for a quick fish and chip lunch with the family. Very fair pricing, fantastic service, AMAZING super fresh fish and tasty chips, best in Scarborough we think! A real surprise to find this little gem of a chip shop! Keep up the good work guys, we will be back next time we are in Scarborough
Absolutely delicious!!! The mushy peas are incredible and the best I've tasted in years - traditional and homemade, not artificial tinned processed gunk. The fish was so fresh it was probably in the sea the day before! Beautiful batter and lovely homemade chips made with potatoes from a locally sourced farm. We received an excellent service and the portions were very generous. It's only a 5 minute walk from the south bay arcades and amusements. Highly recommended to anyone. We will undoubtedly and certainly return here when we next visit Scarborough.
Awesome fish and chips. Reasonable prices too. Paid £1 extra each to sit in. Only three tables but was very quiet when we went while the beachfront was really busy. We are so glad we tried this place. The chips were hand cut. Everything was fried to order and none of it was greasy at all. The batter on the fish melted in my mouth. There are benches nearby if you want to do a takeaway.
