We went (again) to the Palm Court to enjoy an afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was lovely and the service was attentive and friendly. If I have one criticism it's the iron teapots. They are heavy and cumbersome and the tea doesn't stay hot in them long enough. Otherwise I can hardly recommend a visit.
You wonder when you arrive why this isn't a 5 star hotel. The outside is beautiful and an added bonus is parking nearby. The hotel was decked out for Christmas and looked beautiful. We ate in the lounge (thank you for the courtesy glass of bubbles) and the service was good. Breakfast was excellent and the choice amazing. Our room was at the side of the hotel and although clean and comfortable showed signs of wear and I think this is what let's the hotel down. Don't let this put you off though. Palm Court is a lovely place to stay. Very central and accessible.
I had a quiet dinner in an empty restaurant. I was disappointed in the no show scallops. Had contacted the hotel to ensure they could cook them. Apparently weren't available. Prawn cocktail and the shared lamb cutlets were tasty. Pleasant and warm staff. Will return. Thanks

Plenty of places to eat nearby. Breakfast great only thing that I was not happy with was paying £18.50 for 1 pint of cider and double vodka with orange out of carton. Very expensive. Will stay at hotel again but won't be drinking there.
Beautiful hotel down stairs is kept lovely liked the bar and the free glass of champagne was a nice touch really nice breakfast room with a decent selection of condiments the rooms are clean and warm quite old and dated but didn't mind our view and our bathroom was probably the worst part of this hotel I did buy a bottle of bleach spray as the bath was quite dirty and the floor but overall wasn't terrible and our view was just looking at run down empty houses but I would definitely return as I feel it's the best hotel in Scarborough
I've been a a few times to the Palm Court for business meetings and I have to say the hot drinks and tasty treats are lovely.
The staff are amazing, and the location is perfect as it is close to the town centre and the South Bay, Scarborough.
I would throughly recommend the Palm Court.
Fish board afternoon tea. Food was excellent - especially the chips! Service staff were brilliant - pity about the manager who was quite rude.
Our experience at the Palm Court Hotel has been very good. The staff are all lovely and nothing has been too much trouble nor has there been any issues with the facilities in general. Both breakfast and our two evening meals we have had so far have also been excellent. Our only small issue would be that in some areas there is some need of maintenance and decor upgrade but none of these issues have impacted upon our overall stay and you expect some of this with an historic building of this age. We have even converted my eldest son to hotels as he usually prefers holiday apartments or houses due to his OCD and having seen things when working in hotels.
Showing it's age a bit , but made up for by the friendly and efficient staff , the bar is well stocked and a varied bar snack menu
Beautiful hotel, amazing staff and delicious food. Such a welcoming team of staff and genuinely did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They even allowed us to switch rooms mid stay due to the room being very warm. We had the luxury of enjoying an evening meal in the hotel which was on par with the superb breakfast. I loved the calming atmosphere of the hotel and the rooms are spotless. Thank you so much to the lovely housekeeping who helped us switch rooms effortlessly. 😊 see you next year palm court x

Great central point for Scarborough, actual hotel car park is poor but hotel itself is fine.
Great place, room was very tiny with only just enough room to walk round bed
Fabulous hotel with wonderful staff and lovely service, from the moment we checked in to when we checked out, my partner and I had the most amazing time during our recent stay in Scarborough. Quite simply, the most wonderful hotel we've stayed in ever! Can't wait to be back next year Palm Court👍❤️
