Stop off after work to pick up some Cod and chips from R&B Fish Bar.Did not have to wait too long. The fish was very nicely cooks, and the chips are a good size very nice and they stay warm as I walk home.

The previous owners operated a great chippy, and with new owners things inevitably change. After probably half a dozen visits I actually think it's better than ever - our order of 2 Fishcakes, Scampi, Large Chips and a curry sauce 16.60 which I think is great value for a very good quality hot and fresh Chippy Tea served by a friendly bunch too, who are happy to take a telephone order to save waiting around. So often we have Fish and Chips when we are away at the seaside, we need to have it a lot more often when we are at home by the seaside, this is better than most I know anywhere. Thanks

Since R&B was taken over there has been a huge improvement.
Really friendly owner, great crispy batter fish and good portion of chips and it is actually open when you expect it to be. Always seemed to be closed before.
I have seen the 1 star review from the man who seems to accuse everywhere he eats of giving him food poisoning. His comment also seems to be a little racist too? maybe has some ulterior motive.
This is my local chippy and I have always gone to Lexden fish and chips who are superb. Now I can buy from here as now on a par.

Excellent fish and chips from here. Good quantities, two small cod and chips fed three adults comfortably. Very popular, had to wait 25 minutes after placing the order but we were advised of that at the time.
Would definitely go back there again.

Fantastic fish and chips, we ate like kings! Particularly tasty Haddock, and all cooked fresh for you. Be prepared to queue, all the locals seem to know that that is the place to be- and we agree! The fish were huge pieces too. Fantastic value (but since the last menu picture the prices have gone up a little, so see receipt for prices now). I would reccommend this place to anyone.
