Came here with my family and mother-in-law. Felt welcome as soon as we entered the pub. Fabulous, attentive staff, we were served by Nicola, who ensured everything was perfect. Food was excellent and great value for money. Will definitely return again, when we are next in Seaham.
Came for lunch on Sunday October 1st and was like old times wirh Eve who was originally manager at the Wessie. Service was exceptional and Sunday lunch was lovely- as per usual. Great to see Eve again and will be back.
The establishment was very clean, tidy and staff attentive to our needs. There was more than one member of staff on hand to take our drink and food order. They were happy for me to substitute chips for a jacket potato without butter, which a lot of restaurants would have not.

We had a fantastic night, suffer from allergies and they were so helpful in showing how to check meals on the menu from the website. Food was great we will definitely visit again. Jess and Nicola were especially helpful in making our experience enjoyable
Brilliant pub, just off the sea front. We stopped to get lunch & drinks after a morning spent at the beach. Good mix of locals & tourists. Dogs welcome (there were plenty of happy puppers relaxing with their owners).

We traveled from Middlesbrough en route to Newcastle. Stopped off for lunch, and the whole experience was delightful. Good food, good service, good manners from good people.

We were welcomed into the Cows nest by friendly staff, initially just for hot drinks but decided to stay for lunch, we had Lovely fish finger sandwiches, the children had pizza and chicken dippers. All thoroughly enjoyed it and reasonably priced.
Got a chicken Sundayâs lunch which was a large portion already my sister got a go large which was even bigger. I couldnât finish it but I was lovely roast potatoes as well as mash potatoes so you donât have to choose. Yorkshire puddings weâre amazing my favorite part.
