Outstanding food made to order and has top quality ingredients used. Everything so far has been lovely. Staff are a lovely team and the place is lovely and clean. Cannot recommend a better take away in the area than gills it is well worth the price for the quality �
We went today on Good Friday expecting to be in a huge queue a waiting for your food as you do most chip shops. Very pleased to find the queue about 10 minutes long and and no longer than a minute wait for our food once served. Staff were pleasant and polite and food was fresh and tasty! Well done!

We always go to Gills when in Seaham.. especially after my chemo sessions.. I get a craving for chips doused in vinegar to take away the chemo taste.. staff are so friendly too.. x
Refreshing to find a chippy of restaurant quality. Comfy seating with an amazing view. We were a bit worried with such a wide menu the focus on fish and chips would be poor. Not so. Crispy fish, tasty chips!

Had take-a-way fish and chips yesterday afternoon and they were lovely! Nice big portions, didn't wait long at all and friendly staff. Only thing that could be improved was to make it more obvious you were a 'take-a-way place' from the exterior we thought we were walking into a cafe but it was just what we were looking for :)

Food arrived within 40 mins of ordering, piping hot. Pizza was packed with topping and fish was delicious, salad very fresh. Will order again �

Great fish (cod) and chips. Sold as fish bites. The portions were large and very tasty and very good value too. Seating available inside as well as directly outside.. We chose to take a small walk over the green and sat in one of the many bench seats looking out of the harbour and out to sea. No pestering by seagulls was an added bonus. A very pleasant experience.

First time to Gills Fry Fry and thought the food quality, quantity and the price were excellent. We tried two pizzas (peperoni and chicken tikka) and I would definitely recommend! (Took a photo of the chicken tikka pizza slice)
First time me and my missus were eating here in 2020 and second time as family now last Friday with our little one.The food is fresh,tasty and absolutely perfect.We live 5 hours away from Seaham but hands down it’s worth driving all that way just for fish and chips and yet this place makes absolutely delicious food💯
I was so excited for my fish and chips I didn't think of taking a photo, the fish was fried to perfection, I've never had a piece of fish that nice in my local area, absolutely beautiful, the service was amazing, everyone was so nice and the shop is stunning too.

Nice fish n chips. Love how they use a unique box to hold fish and chips seperiately. Curry sauce could be more interesting to make it memorable while the bottles of pop are overprice. Busy place even on a Sunday.

Gill's is lovely place. Quite modern
Inside and with a great view across the gardens to the sea. We came across this place about 6 or 7 years ago and originally picked it as they fry the chips separately from everything else making them vegetarian and it has become a tradition whenever we visit. There are other things on offer too apart from fish and chips you can get the likes of pizzas as well. The vegetarian options other that the chips is a little limited which is a shame. Plenty of nearby free parking and a host of other shops on the road if you fancy an ice cream after. It's also about a 5 minute walk from the sea glass beach to walk it off hunting for some sea glass.
Just had my lunch from Gills. What an absolute delight. Easy ordering online, went and picked it up without any problem and enjoyed it overlooking the sea. The Small cod and chips was superb.
