We had a lovely afternoon tea here today after my mam won a prize through the Hastings through her voluntary work for Daft as a brush. Great food, plenty of it & super staff. I'd recommend! Thank you!

Had the black pudding and scallops starter, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Then the mince and dumplings was just the thing I needed to warm up on a cold day. Food lovely, service great and a lovely place!

Went for Sunday lunch, what great value it was and more importantly piping hot, the meal was just lovely, settings looked fresh and tidy and finally the staff, they just could not do any more for us, 5 stars all day long

Best fish and chips we have ever had. Fabulous crispy batter. Loved it. Will be back for more. Great deal on a Friday.

Popped in last Sunday for Sunday lunch with the family. Everything was lovely, I had the trio of meats and all were cooked really well, everyone else had fish and chips which looked great. I would definitely go back!

Spent 2 nights here, in a room with sea view (you can actually see the waves from bed!). Well equipped with toiletries and lots of tea, coffee and biscuits. Best bit is the food in the restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. The seafood platter is exquisite.

Friends visited from Sussex so decided to give this pub a whirl. We had scampi, Thai curry, sausage n mash & regular fish & chips. It was all lovely! Everyone enjoyed their meals. We enjoyed watching people tackle the whale and chips...much too large for us but looked delicious. We are local so will be back. Thank you 😋

Legendary for the fish and chip. Lovely staff. The whale was magnificent and considering it's size it was cooked to perfection...they certainly know how to cook fish. Very picturesque place to walk off the fish if you've got a couple of days to spare.

Traveled a little bit to get here as seen all positives on Facebook I did order the whale and yes it was massive, well cooked with lovely Currys sauce, gravy, mushy peas, tartar ace and home made chips. The place itself is beautiful and the staff so attentive, Unfortunately the whale defeated me but was worth the drive. Highly recommend.

Went for my birthday. The scampi was delicious, as was the Berry crumble and custard. Staff are so nice. Atmosphere really nice. Excellent choice on menu and reasonable prices.

Apart from the room being over the main bar which was incredibly noisy until closing time it was absolutely great, the food is delicious, I saw someone order the Waterford Whale, a massive piece of battered cod. Looked delicious couldn't have managed it myself, there's a challenge for you. We had the Sunday roast couldn't fault it

After being from the area all my life, I'm ashamed to say I'd never been to the Waterford Arms until today. Hubby had the whale and chips (HUGE) and I had the large fish and chips (MASSIVE). All totally delicious but think we need to be a bit hungrier next time as neither of us quite managed. Lovely pub with a really nice, friendly atmosphere. Great service and amazing value for money. You MUST go there 😊

This has to be the biggest fish I have ever had and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, we had starters, so we couldn't eat the full main course. Could not fault any of the food, The price was very reasonable too, including the drinks! Will definitely will return soon and will post an update with a picture.

A last min stay for 1 night with 2 dogs.. very friendly staff, they made us all feel so welcome. Rooms are very clean and just what we needed, and we even tried the Sunday dinner. Defo will call again even just to try the fish and chips next time.

Visited today it’s been a while since we were there but, I was very impressed with the food! I had large cod and chips, it was very nice and will be back but the next time I’m having the whale. The staff were very nice and pleasant too. Thanks
