Have read some very mixed reviews about this place so wanted to try for ourselves. Pub was quite quite when we arrived so we easily found a seat and had a look at the menu. Although it was very clean it was a bit shabby in places however looks as if it’s been getting a bit of a face lift. There’s a good range of veggie options available and we choose a ‘chicken’ and beyond ‘beef’ burger along with some drinks. Everything arrived quickly and piping hot and was most importantly, really tasty! Staff were friendly and helpful when asked about further bookings and Xmas, checking the availability for us. Will definitely visit again! PS parking is across the road and you can get it free when you go

Great food & friendly staff. Halloumi wrap was delicious. Kids meals were great size and really good prices too.

A lovely little pub by the coast with an amazingly big roast. Our stay was a pleasure but it was a lovely lass called Ash who made our time there memorable. She was on top form and made everyone smile.

Beautiful carvery and great for families! Loads of meat and roast potatoes were cooked to perfection. Very well presented too for choosing. We'll be back.

Group of 3 called in for early tea on a quiet Thursday. Free parking opposite on other side of the road, just remember to enter your reg in the machine on the bar counter. Plenty of tables and option to sit outside at the back if the weather is nice, large varied menu including a carvery, we decided on the 3 course meal offer and opted for two beer battered salt and pepper mushrooms and one pizza pin wheel starters followed by 1 vegetarian pizza, 1 vegetarian burger and 1 fish and chips finished off with 2 x brownies and 1 sticky toffee pudding with a couple of rounds of drinks. All food arrived hot with a decent break between courses, staff were pleasant and efficient. No complaints with the meals, drinks or service. If you're after good value, above average pub meals in a pleasant environment, I'd certainly recommend calling in.

Another great meal and fantastic service at The Astley Arms! Cannot fault the carvery; it is a firm favourite of ours for sure. Great little park in the garden for the kids and ample table space in the conservatory to watch them from the table. Martha on the bar was lovely and helpful. All staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I remember coming here when I was a kid and now I get to bring my own kids. Absolutely brilliant all round!

Called in for lunch with my Mrs today 25th Sept. 2023. We had a carvery each. The meal was nice and hot enough. And we got a side order of 5 pigs in blankets for £1:99 the whole meal, including a pint and a half of Pepsi came to £23:43 we thought it was worth the money. Also, the bogs are clean and not smelly. That's always a bonus lately. The pub has a car park over the road you have to enter your reg. number into the machine on the bar, that validates your parking for 24hrs

Amazing Sunday dinner, easily the best I've had for a long time. Staff were really pleasant, chatty and helpful and the atmosphere was spot on. Will be returning again soon.

Had a lovely Sunday Carvery at The Astley Arms. The food was exceptional. The meat was cooked to perfection and there was a vast selection of vegetables on offer. Ashleigh served us today. She was very friendly, informed us of our choices and was very efficient in her delivery. Excellent customer service from Ashleigh. Amazing food. Great service. We will definitely be back again.

A lovely atmosphere with pub quizzes taking place in the background whilst receiving an efficient service from Callum after ordering via TooGoodToGo. I’ll be back for a proper sit down meal. Ps, free parking after 6pm!

Haven’t been for years or had a carvery but it was very good. Beef, ham, Yorkshire, bubble n squeak all very good. Only lost 1 star because the staff didn’t do anything about the 5 kids screaming and running around banging into people and annoying everyone. Kids will be kids but almost knocking an elderly gent over and a lady with 4 drinks ! Staff just looked the other way. Sorry guys

Lovely food yet biggest downfall is the waiting time for food (around 1 hour) and then the waiting time for dessert when there was only a handful of people in. However overall food & staff were excellent, as well as a park outside for the kids .

I had the carvery from this venue. The food was good quality. The staff were friendly and helpful. Downsides are Luke everywhere now, you have to pay for parking. This didn't use to be the case.

Started coming back here a few months ago. Really good food, good atmosphere and really good prices. We like coming here with the pooch, he sits with us and eats his kids burger and ice cream. Tried the carvery calzone pizza and love it! Such a good idea 😀 served by Martha, hope you win!!

Lovely friendly dog friendly restaurant/pub. The food was very good and we enjoyed the football. Well positioned for a walk on the beach or children's playground and free parking if you enter your reg in the pub. Would recommend.
