No Anchor

I am not a beer drinker, so I am probably not the best person to review a bar and restaurant focused around beer. *That said, go for the Dungeness crab roll on a soft pretzel bun. It was perfect to try once, but not enough to draw me back again. *Great service. Knowledgeable wait staff. *Get there early and make a reservation before arriving if you want to sit in one of the few comfortable chairs. (The bar stools are uncomfortable.) *The Spanish cava style champagne tastes more like sparkling apple cider than what you would expect a French champagne or American sparkling wine. Still it was good and served in a pretty (see photo) glass. *The pickled smoked mussels had a sour and lacked smoke flavor except for some bitterness. I don't think they started with good quality mussels. I am a big fan of smoked mussels, so I had high hopes that these would be great. Very disappointing! *Overall, it was a fun place to try, but, the combo of the uncomfortable wood stools, difficulty of getting a comfortable chair after 5 pm, lack of good wine and cocktail options made it a no-go for a non-beer drinker.
