Nice little cafe with cozy seating and a couple of decorative ugly mugs. Went in for a quick bite and coffee. I took the drip and the days highlight was some Honduras coffee. Pretty nice. My wife got the machiato which was good as well and they gave some sparkling water on the side with it. She also got a smoked salmon bagel which was nice and filling. The place looked very busy with some nice merchandise.

Ugly Mug is quite a lovely cafe! It's smaller in size, so you might not be able to grab a seat at the busier times, but the drinks are nice, the food is really tasty, and the atmosphere is eclectic in a home-y way. I also want to give a shout out to the breakfast croissant sandwich. It is SO GOOD, especially with added bacon :) .

The cafe is a super beautiful atmosphere, and the drinks were delicious, but what really stood out were the servers. They were super fast friendly and attentive even with a packed cafe. While we were there, some guy sprinted in and stole all their cash tips out of the jar before they could stop him. I probably would have burst out crying in their shoes. They handled what must have been a very rattling and disappointing situation super well, and continued right on serving without hardly skipping a beat. Definitely coming back, 1000/5 stars.

It’s such a quaint coffee shop. I love the decor, and the notes slid under the transparent covers on the table. feel like you can leave your own little mark there or see who’s been there and wonder what their stories are.
They have a great drinks and food. I love their croissant sandwich. Are used to be in an alley play but now that the U district station is opened, it no longer feels like a secret cafe, but I still love to go~

Nice, quick service. Cute place. Easily was one of the best coffees I've ever had. I ordered an iced lavender oat milk latte which is my regular order at most places, but this one tasted much better than all the others I've had. My friend that accompanied me, that had a different coffee drink, also agreed one of the best coffees he's had in Seattle. I'd definitely go back! Also one of the few places open early on a Sunday morning in that part of U District/ the "Ave".

One of the greatest salmon bagels I've ever had. I almost went back and bought another. Good price, too. Didn't have to wait very long. I'll definitely go back and I'd recommend this spot highly to anyone looking for a quick breakfast in the U District.

Great place. Their house drip coffee was very mild and hit the spot. The croissant breakfast sandwiches were absolutely delicious and I will be coming back here again. This is also a place I would recommend to a student who is working on a paper or someone who wants a quiet place to read. 5 STARS.
