Excellent service. Very fresh food.

Best sushi place in Ballard, one of the best in Seattle. Highly recommend the Seattle roll

Have eaten here several times, just wanted to say it is a decent spot for sushi. Calamari is excellent in my opinion. Sorry i didn’t do any photos

The best sushi place in the neighborhood so far. Everything is fresh, delicious and cooked fast. Service is great.
Enjoyed an hour by the window with my book, good rolls, super flavorful yakitori and complimentary green tea 😌

Atmosphere sucks but the food is great, would definitely recommend take-out. Not sure why you need to play sad movie soundtracks, would definitely go more if the music wasn't so depressing

Just got takeout but it was AMAZING! Soft shell crab was incredible, I honestly might have to go again tomorrow. Finally a great sushi place!

Fast service, good prices, and tasty foods. A staple for sushi & Japanese cuisine in Ballard. Friendly staff as well!

The fish was fantastic and reasonably priced, chef hooked up something not listed, service was great, and it was very quick though it was empty when I was in (mid afternoon weekday).

Service, food quality, and atmosphere at Sam’s was 10x better than the other Ballard sushi option down the street.
My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night 30 min before closing. We were immediately sat and brought waters and menus. They striked a nice balance of being attentive / wanting to take our order without making us feel rushed since it was so close to closing.
The food was very very good. My boyfriend got the nigiri plate and I got a bento box.
The service and atmosphere were wonderful. It feels like a local mom and pop spot with great quality fish. Looking forward to visiting again.

The sushi and noodles were some of the best - so fresh! Plus the price can’t be beat (we had 4 rolls, 2 apps, 1 noodle, and 2 alcoholic drinks for under $115).
