We visited this place on our Seattle visit when we were roaming around Pioneer Square. The day was in late April and it was particularly cloudy with lots of rain and cold temperatures. With the sight of Starbucks on almost every intersection, I and my wife decided to try this one out with all the accolades and the good reviews that I have heard. The interior was warm and cozy with the welcoming smell of fresh coffee. We entered 1 hour before closing around 4 pm. We ordered 1 cup of coffee and a hot chocolate. Both were delivered in glass cups. I found the restaurant to be a good coffee spot, however the hot chocolate was a little less sweet than what we are accustomed with. The dark roasted coffee was a little bit extra roasted and had a tangy bitter smell. Overall, I am glad that I tried out the restaurant and on a single visit this place appeared to be a good hangout spot.

I am one of the snobbiest, Australian coffee drinkers out there, and this was literally the best espresso I've ever had. How in the world the barristers managed to get so many different tasting notes out of a single espresso, I think we're more likely to discover the meaning of life in all honesty. Beautiful nutty, almondy goodness with a stone-fruity sweetness to round it out. I'm in love.

I got the oat milk espresso, no sugar, and it was a delight. Initial bitterness, smoothed out to a nice oatmeal flavor profile. I'm sure with honey or sugar...you could bring the initial bitterness to heel, but in my opinion it isn't needed, unless you have a sweet tooth. I will have to come back and try other drinks and alternative milks.

Best coffee in Seattle. I like the u-district location a little better since it's open later but the coffee is still amazing at both. I highly recommend the espresso and milk or their nitro chai if you're not a coffee lover. In the summer they have seasonal specials like Japanese cherry blossom cold brew which is a real treat.

Good place, send like a hole in the wall but it's quite quaint and friendly. A nice quiet place to do some work on a laptop or just relax with a cup of joe. The staff seems to be very knowledgeable about the different brews and the flavor profiles of each roast. Little spendy but for the area it's not terrible. I got an espresso shot with a small glass of water water and it was a different experience for me, it was my first shot.

Very knowledgeable baristas here. Parking is limited to street. Coffee is A+ and they roast their own beans.

Good coffee, especially if you're looking to get away from burnt Starbucks swill (sorry not sorry Starbucks) and their flavored lattes are on the less-sweet side, which I like. However it seems like every so often they go rogue with their milk without saying anything. I've definitely gotten low-fat and almond milk before despite not asking for them. Not the end of the world but a little disappointing.

Nice and calm place. Barista is good. Iced Americano is one of my favorite and it was good. 可愛いバリスタさんが淹れてくれたアイスアメリカーノは美味しかったです♪

Great coffee! If you're particular about coffee, this place is for you; they are methodical and precise about weights, temperatures, and brew times here, so you will receive the fullest potential of the coffee. There is no air conditioning or shade for the outdoor seating, so prepare to sit in full sun or the sauna inside when it's over 30C.
