Super fun! And everyone (including the staff) was nice. Would definitely try to recommend leaving a bit before midnight or 1AM cuz there’s NO CROWD CONTROL whatsoever

Shingletown is a country themed bar on Market in the downtown Ballard area. It's known for the indoor theme, hay on the floor, country music and a younger crowd. The staff here are great, super friendly and quick with drinks. They have karaoke some nights. At night, past 11, they are usually packed with a line to get in. Overall a fun place to come drink if you are OK being around a younger crowd shoulder to shoulder.

great gay country bar. definitely doesnt remind me of any real country bars back home and the straw bales everywhere are hilarious but its full of college people and older having fun. music is a little off but like i said its a wannabe countrybar with wannabe country people everywhere.

Nice stiff drinks, great spot for dancing and having to shout into your friends ear so they can hear you. They have straw on the floor, very authentic.

Great place to grab a beer or jello shot. The bar food is good and the staff is friendly. Sunday Karaoke starts 9pm and no matter your skill the bar will cheer for you.

The service was amazing. The bartender josh was on point with the drinks and service was really fast even though it was really busy. I had Callie's famous quesadilla and it was hands done the best food I've had in Ballard. Will definitely be back for karaoke again!

It’s a country-themed bar, not an actual country bar. Meaning, even though they have (fire-treated) hay on the floor and cowboy signs on the walls, it’s in Ballard, in Seattle, and it can get pretty packed with people who definitely spent most of their week sitting at computers in offices. If the lack of authenticity is going to annoy you all night, don’t bother. All that being said, this place is really, really fun. The space is small but it’s one of the few bars in the area where people actually stand around and talk to other people or dance. They have boots of beer and bar games and bingo and karaoke and they’ll play all your favorite pop country hits with some of the older classics mixed in. It may be a little gimmicky, but if you’re looking for a good time and don’t mind a crowd (and you like country music) this is a must visit stop in Ballard.

Nice friendly saloon style place with great service. They boast a boot of beer, which is about 60 oz or something of beer, it's huge. Its a fun country feel with straw on the floors and roasted peanuts. They offer something like a personal pizza or Tim's kettle chips as far as food goes so plan on drinking only there. I liked it.

Honestly I love this bar on drinking nights. The hay is on the floor and people love to enjoy themselves. I know no country songs but I go with the flow. I have been here twice and plan on coming back
