One of the better chicken teriyaki spots in Seattle! Chicken is almost perfect, and has great portion sizes. Hands down the best value for Teriyaki I've seen. Not at great atmosphere for dine-in, but the food and portions more than make up for it. My favorite is the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki.

One of the best teriyaki places on the Ave! Portions are great, filling and delicious. Service is prompt and friendly with many options. A teriyaki place that keeps me coming back again and again! There is a small parking lot that is always packed so if you live close enough I'd suggest walking.

It exceeded my expectations. Although the place may seem outdated and unappealing, the food itself is fantastic. Quick service too. Seating, however, is rather limited. Overall, highly recommended.

A long-time local staple. This is good affordable teriyaki at the North end of the Ave. The interior is not necessarily elegant but it is a great place to grab a quick, cheap, filling lunch.

Our favorite teriyaki place, by far and hands down. We've been waiting for them to open for months and I heard that it seems like they've closed for good :( I'm so sad, we've tried at least a half dozen other teriyaki places and none of them have come close to the juicy, smokey grilled chicken and crunchy katsu of Teriyaki 1st. The owners were so sweet every time we went to pick up our order. I LOVED their efficient phone service, that's how you know it's good! No need to mince words when a system is as efficient and rock solid as theirs. All our food was perfect every time. Please come back Teriyaki 1st! We miss you!!

While Teriyaki 1st built it's reputation on huge portions for a reasonable price, steady decreases in quality, attention to detail and price raises make this spot less enticing every time I go back. While the portions remain tremendous (easily providing two full meals making the price hikes more tolerable) the quality just leaves a lot to be desired. Within the U district, other locations provide a similar experience in quantity and price for much higher quality.

The food at this restaurant is delightful. It is a no-nonsense no frills get your food and get out kind of think. There are places to eat, but this place is always packed with people trying to get food so I have found it better to get and go. I normally get the teriyaki chicken which is reasonably priced and you get good portions. recently, I did try the spicy chicken which was sweet and spicy and met all the requirements that one needs in their spicy chicken. And the chicken portion was larger than on the teriyaki choice.
