Great neighborhood pub with good food and drinks. Fun karaoke!
Google
Place looks scary when you pass by but the food and drinks make up for what's may not hit your benchmarks for a nice bar.
Grabbed the inferno with pepperjack instead of monterey and loved it. The burger and the bun where so soft it was as if the burger melted into your mouth.

This is a wonderful neighbor bar that you could miss if you are stuck in the chaos of downtown. Venture to Magnolia and check this place out!

Above average burgers, chilled ambient, easy going bartenders... what else do you need?
Update after 2 years, still the same.

Just stopped in for a couple drinks. Friendly service & customers. Definitely place to stop for a quick drink & food

I always have a good time at Boxcar, very friendly regulars never disappoint me with their usually hilarious, and always random, stories or opinions. I still have only seen the one person bartending, but no complaints, he is efficient and friendly. If you like socializing and a good dive bar, this place is a must.

It’s a dive bar, yes, but it always has the best selection of beers on tap and some of the best, most affordable burgers!! The Inferno burger slaps!! Service is consistent always. Happy hour is awesome!

Great spot!! Delicious burgers, I had the classic, Crispy tater tots, and great sevice! Definitely recommend the Yonders local cider

Was there for Karaoke night had a blast. I was with good friends and the very busy bartender somehow kept up with the customers. He never quit smiling and was courteous. He was tipped well. I will definitely return to visit this establishment

Great local dive bar in NE Magnolia. They have a fun Saturday night karaoke and decent bar food, the Inferno Burger with Sweet Potato fries and a side of Honey Mustard is my go to. Crowd is pretty mixed, so come as you are and you'll be fine.
