This is solid Chinese American food, which is actually tough to find in Seattle. The cashew chicken, veggie delight, and Wonton soup are my favorites. My partner is a fan of the sesame chicken. The portions are huge and the folks that run the place are lovely. Magnolia is lucky to have this local gem.

So, so, SO happy to see New China Express is open again!! I've been missing their veggie hand shaven noodles like nothing else for the last year or so - they are an absolute must buy, genuinely one of the tastiest dishes I have ever eaten. I also got the salt and pepper tofu - HUGE portion, had enough to share and some for leftovers. This was also delectable- crispy, slightly spicy, savory, and served with garlic and green onions. My partner got the szechuan chicken which they ate gleefully (I don't eat meat so I can't say how good it was, but they really enjoyed it). Everything was piping hot, fresh and ready SO fast!! Delighted that NCE is open again - go support this local gem right now!!

Great place if you are looking for takeout as it is very small inside and no room to eat. I do wish they have you a little more rice with your meal, but besides that, they made up for that with large meat portions when I ordered generals chicken. Tasted great and will be back again!

Hand shaven noodles are so good! Crab cheese is also delicious. Vegetables fried rice tasted so fresh. Price was good for portion. Authentic Chinese food! Glad to find a good place with late open hours.

Been ordering takeout from here for years, ever since they first opened. Quality can sometimes fluctuate, but always good. But last Friday night, around 6:30pm picked up a kung pao tofu and shrimp barley hand shave noodles, and both were incredibly well made! Perfect textures and flavors. Don't know if it was a different cook or what.

This is the best Chinese American food I’ve ever had! We have been getting takeout from here for years! Favorite dishes: beef and broccoli, Mapo tofu, cashew chicken, pork fried rice, and curry chicken!! Fast and friendly!!!
