2nd visit to this lovely little pub. Great staff, friendly and good sense of humour. It is busy at times so advise to book in advance. Meal met the standard of the last time we came so it wasn't a one off the last time. Compliments to the chef on fish and chips, Chicken burger and the gammon. All wa
Can't fault this place at all. Booked a table earlier in the day, turned up on time, food came out quickly and was good. Steak and ale pie had decent pieces of steak in it and Emma thought the sausage was really good. Emily enjoyed the kids meal and absolutely loved the sticky toffee pudding with ic

Late tea after visiting the local secondary school with daughter. Really cosy atmosphere, well kept beer and excellent food.
We called into the Red Lion for lunch on our way to Kirkby Stephen. The guy behind the bar was extremely pleasant. The pub has a very local vibe to it, the few people who were in there obviously all.kmew each other. But we weren't made to feel uncomfortable, quite the opposite actually. Everyone wa

We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our visits to the Red Lion. Dinner on Monday evening was excellent... service with a smile and nothing too much bother. Thank you so much and looking forward to our next visit!
Good pub food. Thought the rhubarb crumple was not only generous but really tasty with good crumble on top.
Very welcoming and accommodating, a traditional independent pub with plenty of character in the building and the staff couldn't do enough for us, fantastic lady behind the bar.
