Review The Sondes Tea House - Selling

Fabulous and healthy food options always available at the Sondes! Today’s quiche salad was beautifully presented and delicious. Tried the turmeric latte for the first time and can highly recommend you try it too!

I always look forward to my visit to Sondes Tea House in Selling. It’s beautifully decorated and it has a lovely calm atmosphere. The people working there have always been friendly and welcoming. The cakes are always really nice as are the hot drinks. I had a roll on this lunchtime visit and it was tasty and fresh. What I love most about this place is that it’s dog friendly, inside and outside. It’s a short drive from Perry Woods so it’s perfect to visit after a walk with the woofer.

Another fantastic lunch at the Sondes! I'm a meat eater, but this veggie place is still super satisfying. Quirky decor, friendly staff. If you come, you'll come back.

Took some finding but what a super place. We just had coffee which was excellent although we did take some pastries for the journey. Highly recommend

Brilliant staff. Went out of their way during a busy moment to make me feel looked after and well catered. Delicious vegetarian salads with doorstep fresh bread and butter. Excellent tea - I had “Poet’s Wellness”. I hope these staff are being looked after as well as they look after your customers! Good staff deserve the very best of conditions. Lucky proprietor to have such a great crew :) Keep up the great work, workers!

This place is worth the drive to it. Foods great and it's got to be the best artisan cafe in east Kent! 'nuff said!

Wonderful little cafe and shop with warm welcoming ambience and beautiful secret garden. Delightful cakes and savouries on offer and so many options for vegan/gluten and dairy free. Coffee reliably tasty and all at a very reasonable cost. Finally, the staff are so helpful and friendly making this my regular go to.

This is vegetarian tea room. Lunch is a set price of £9.95 and is enormous. Found I could only get half way through mine. Fantastic cakes and large selection of teas.

Delicious coffee and cakes, with a vegan friendly lunch buffet and an incredible wall of tea to choose from! Stopped in here for a quick coffee before a train at Selling station, ideal location and great quality food

We popped in for some lunch but the old set up has gone. The garden was open but a bit cold to be sat out. We bought some goodies from the store and they are serving lots of lovely homemade food. We had leek and spring onion soup which was incredible. This came with bread and butter and there was plenty of it. The food here is exceptional and love visiting.

Real tea served to perfection. Fabulous salad lunches. Perfect ambience. Casual, comfy, cluttered, home from home.

Though service can seem a little chaotic at times, I have always experienced the staff as friendly and helpful. I have enjoyed the cooked food, sandwiches, and the savoury pastries here over the years, as well as the teas.

Food delicious. Never seen such a varied tea menu! Garden is a little oasis. Quirky decor and lots of curiosities, garden ornaments and plants for sale. The staff are not always on the ball when taking orders or sorting out the bill. Have experienced a less than customer oriented service at times.

Such a lovely Tea house & General store with added benefits of fresh fruit, vegetables & plenty of other goodies to feast your eyes on. I also like that they respectfully retained Ex-pub glory.

Really nice friendly, helpful staff. Decor and thegarden adds to the ambiance of this busy quirky tea house. The food definitely got my tastebuds going overtime. There is also a shop adjoined. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian or gluten free, there is food for all. I'm a pie 'n' mash type person but i must say this place is definitely well worth a visit.
