Lovely shop and cafe in the centre of Settle. I came on the recommendation of a friend, and it's 100% my vibe! The shop balances curated products from bigger brands with local and independent ones, providing a varied but cohesive browsing experience. There are homewares, gifts and children's toys, as well as books and clothes. The small cafe did a cracking dark hot chocolate and scone, and the rest of the menu will no doubt tempt me back again soon... :)

Staying in Settle for a couple of days as a base for some glorious walking in Yorkshire, we came across this wonderful shop. The name Car and Kitchen was a bit misleading as definitely can’t buy motor oil here , but just go in and have a look around, all sorts of stuff there including a lovely cafe upstairs. Friendly atmosphere and staff.

Can only comment on coffee and scone. Probably the best scone I've ever had - and I've had a lot!! Freshly baked, crispy outside and soft inside. Yum! Coffee really good too. The shop has some lovely things for gifts.

Our first time visiting the cafe part of this business. We believe that larger neals were served here up until recentley but now they are serving coffees and cakes only. As that was all we needed at that time it was'nt a problem to us. Two lovely flat white coffees an 2 sluces of cake were served by very polite polite and courteous young ladies. We'll call again for sure.

Lovely light lunch with fresh ingredients. Very busy but didn't have to wait too long. The young waitresses were doing sterling work. More than happy to recommend.

Best place to eat in Settle. Breakfasts are off the chart. I tried the FAT for the first time a few days ago (I’m usually a pork taco loyalist) which was absolutely spot on. Coffee is great too and there’s always lots of lovely things in the shop should you be caught for birthday presents or need a wardrobe update. Stock is changing all the time - you can see how much effort goes into keeping the stock fresh.

I love the food here. The most excellent fresh Salad Bowl and The Donker (you'll have to go to know) are my super favourites. Saying that, the waffles are great too. Infact, it all is. If you want pie and chips, go t'pub.
