The Steamer Inn Restaurant

We visited for a drink and the staff were so welcoming and child friendly we returned for a full dinner later in the week. The food was amazing and portions massive. Their kids menu had a lot of choices and the pub and staff are very dog friendly too. Would recommend anyone coming to Shanklin to visit here.

Unfortunately didn’t take any pictures of the food wish I had! staff very welcoming and friendly, generous food portions and deserts value for money and good selection of ales too lucky for me Ringwood ales were on!! Wish I’d visited sooner definitely recommend!! Until sometime again thank you all for an enjoyable evening.

Nice food, really friendly and efficient staff, brilliant location. We sat outside late September and the heaters in the covered area were ample to keep us warm in the evening. Only thing to note (and a minor one at that) was having to queue for a while to order food. But still definitely recommend and would return if visiting Isle of Wight again.

We only had food here when we were on our holiday but after the first night that we went we came back every other night as the food and service were just amazing! Two of the nights I had the macaroni cheese which was creamy and delicious. The third night I had scampi and chips which were perfectly cooked and plentiful in size. My family also very much enjoyed their meals. Although there was a small wait to get a table, it was definitely worth it when we got in with the beautiful decor inside and the amazing views of the sea when sat outside. We will definitely be going back when we return to the island.

Fantastic place, great friendly service and superb views. Kids menus was amazing offering not only the normal burger, sausage and chips but also dishes like lasagna. Potions for Main meals are large and very tasty with good choice for allergies. My mum had the kids lasagna meal and was plenty to fill her up and very tasty. Will definitely go again.

We didn't stay at the Inn, however the food here is delicious! The fresh fish finger sandwich; the rump steak; the chips are all beautifully cooked and delicious. The blue raspberry ice cream sundae is wonderful too. The only thing which could be improved is that the onion rings, albeit tasty and plentiful, could be made from fresh onion rings and battered. Would definitely recommend The Steamer Inn dining experience!
