Lovely gardens and grounds not far from Shanklin Chine. Need to find parking down local streets but well worth it! Try Luccombe Road near gardens main entrance.
Superb cafe serving various foods from toasties, cheesy chips, sandwiches, hot foods and terrific locally made cakes. Totally recommend the flap jack with choc chip and blue flower! Quite sticky but heavenly flavour.
Coffees are great but note cooked food isn't served after 1430hrs.
The gardens wrap around a cute crazy golf course. Kids loved this!
It's £4.50 per child and £5.50 per adult or family tickets available.
Surrounding the golf course are the gardens - not quite National Trust but honest, clean, beautifully maintained and offer some truly special plant verieties.
Local bug life is strong and well promoted without endangering any stability or limiting eco systems.
The horticulturalist is a lovely lady to talk to, and is busy tending the grounds most days.
Some plants are offered for sale and they are excellent examples in great condition.
It was a great 2.5hrs spent with our families - some great memories. Totally recommend.
Well kept gardens, free to enter. Parking on the street nearby, so no dedicated disabled parking but the paths are well maintained and wheelchair friendly. Public toilets open and clean but I couldn't get the disabled one open even with my radar key. Nice tea rooms with friendly staff, mainly outdoor seating although much of it undercover. Crazy golf looked well kept but we didn't play.
Great vegan nachos and vegan lemonade. Also vegan cakes on offer but we did not try these as full from nachos. Golf also fun
