The Anchor Inn - Shanklin - Photo album

Very cool pub. Probably the go-to soaking be quite crowded but I have to say they staff it well so drinks don't take too long. Live entertainment on Saturday nights is pretty fun as well. Don't recommend it for kids on weekend nights but any other time it's perfectly fine and they have a nice outdoo
Overall a nice pub - the food we had was Tina good quality albeit there was quite a long wait between ordering and getting the food. The staff there were great and particularly helpful with accommodating my friend in a wheelchair. It was however very noisy when we were there which wasn’t great but o
Amazing food! Lovely atmosphere. Staff were very polite. Definitely recommend!!
Visited today to attend a blues jam and it was brilliant. I found it to be a very friendly place and my husband said that the beer was very good
Just dropped in for some soup and a drink as it was cool and overcast. Friendly staff, prompt service and fair prices. Lovely ambience created by the low beams, nautical theme and history that oozed out of the walls.
A great place to meet friends and family for a 🍻 and a meal 🍴. And have a laugh and chatting. Very clean and cosy. And just having loads of fun.
Been in 3/4 times for some food and drinks. Pretty good all round. Avoid Fin. Poor attitude. Jensen, very helpful.
Fantastic pub, right in the heart of cowes. Amazing staff and a huge shoutout to Tillie who’s given amazing service every time. And yes that’s tillie with an ie.
Brilliant pub! Popped in last night with family for some food and a couple of drinks. Great atmosphere, food was good, live music was great. Had a great time, will be going back before we leave. Highly recommended.
Always good. Normally a couple of local real ales. Fast service. Helpful staff.
Lovely, busy central pub. Home of "The Black Cat Blues Club", 2nd Sunday 4-7pm, always well hosted and great to play through the big PA. Lovely to meet up in person with people I haven't seen for a couple of years or so. Appreciative audience in the Stable Bar too, good times.
Good range of beers and drinks. Very helpful staff. 9 of us had Sunday lunch and the roasts were excellent, best I've had in ages. A generous portion of meat and loads of veg. Would definitely recommend.
This is a lovely pub, we wandered in and upon seeing the menu promptly ordered lunch. I had a home made beef hotpot with crusty bread. It was truly delicious! The bar staff were really friendly and we found the service swift and faultless. I would definitely recommend popping in if you are in Cowes.
Good food and beer Always has my favourite Isle of Wight ale Fuggle de dumb
Decent beer and food (huge portions!). Bigger place than you might think from outside and does regular live music. Staff quite young - some very good but others spent most of the evening on their phones!
