We visited the Peacock for the first time today (bank holiday Monday afternoon) and we loved everything about it. We ordered mains and deserts, all of which were brought out in good time and all of which were delicious. The whole pub is really cosy and the staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Greg who was working on the bar most of the time who was especially friendly, chatty and happy (despite them seeming to be understaffed). We would definitely recommend it and will most certainly be back again next weekend.
Had a lovely meal Saturday tea time for our little boy's birthday. The waitress and waiter who both served us made us all feel very welcome and the meal was amazing. My husband said it was the best fish and chips he'd had in a long time. The price is a little more expensive than we normally like to pay but as it was a special occasion and we had Tesco Clubcard vouchers to use against the bill it made it a good deal. Will deffiantly go back.
First-rate dining experience! The location of the hotel is ideal, as it looks out onto the moors, making for a perfect backdrop.
In terms of the service, presentation of the food, taste and price, I really couldn't fault it. Staff were super-friendly and attentative. Our server (Philip) couldn't do enough.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone, and I will definitely be returning.

I passed this pub travelling back from work and what a little gem it is!!!! The food was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! The staff were so friendly, laid back but professional!!! The view while you sit outside OH IT WAS BLISS!!!!!! I'll be back!!!!

I would like to thank Jo and Sean and the team for a lovely meal that we had on the 5/9/23. We were looked after very well, and our food was superb, complements to the chef. The staff are very attentive and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We find The Peacock very relaxing, that's why we attend often.

We always return back to this local pub/restaurant, we love the food and the atmosphere, the building is old and beautiful and the views from here are fantastic. Staff are lovely too.

We were greeted by Louise, who is very customer friendly.
We had 3 courses, the garlic mushroom starter on a crumpet was fantastic.
We both had a steak toasted sandwich with salad and the flavours & quality were excellent including the steak being very tender.
We finished with a mini pud & drink, choosing the mini cheesecake with raspberry coulis & coffee's.
We can honestly say that the customer service & food, were worth every penny we paid.
Thank you Louise and the rest of the staff, we had a fantastic time and will come again.
We stopped in for a pint and take in the views. They are spectacular!! Made the £6 pints more worth it! Worth a stop in!
The pub has lovely dining area and outside sitting area with an amazing view.
We are Stake & Ale pie and mushroom pie. We were not disappointed at all. Maybe vegetables could have been better.
We were served by Tom and he was attentive and pleasant.
